Metal Awning or Patio Cover Installation and Replacement
We decided to convert a plain concrete slab into an inviting stamped concrete and paver patio, and Proficient Patios was our pick. The entire process was seamless: the estimator arrived promptly, explained options clearly, and gave a fair quote. Once approved, their crew showed up the next week and kicked off work. They took care in leveling, installing drainage, choosing color blends, and blending the new with existing landscape. They even coordinated with our landscaper to preserve plants. At the end, they cleaned the site meticulously. The final result is gorgeous ? our patio now feels like an extension of the house. We?ve already received compliments from neighbors. We?ll absolutely use them again for future outdoor upgrades.

We sign a contract in November of 2022 for a patio project and we were promised it would like like the house and what the Renders would look like. But it fall very short of that. Ran into, problems left and right. But then never fix the issue with the project after meeting with them so I call the Contracting board and When the contracting board got Involved They still didn't know how to fix their mistakes. And didn't know if they did anything wrong. But the project was missing a lot of structural issues and Never followed blueprints. They said they passed but when I call the city they said you only passed Sheer Not framing and couldn't make them fit it. I recommend staying away from this company. If you like headaches, this is the number one headache. Matthew Is a great sales person but Integrity, he does not have.

My outdoor patio project that I started with Proficient just wrapped up. I feel these guys did a fantastic job and were very educated and skilled in their line of work. Reasonably priced, they showed up, worked hard and got our move done in a reasonable time frame. I'm happy with how the entire experience went.

Hired this company for my Las Vegas vacation home and am very happy with the work that was done. They were very professional and finished the job at a decent time I which was great because I assumed it would've taken longer. Staff was very professional also and made me feel comfortable with hitting them. Recommended to anyone with homes in the lad Vegas area.

They were very professional, on time anytime they said they were coming out. I had a patio cover installation done on a newly purchased home in Summerlin. The patio cover looks wonderful! I feel it was really needed especially with summer fast approaching. Everyone here was a pleasure to work with. Very happy with the results and would recommend them.

I used proficient patios to have a spa installed on a second home we bought in the Las Vegas area. I feel these guys were on top of things. From the moment I walked into their showroom, I felt like I was in good hands. They made good on all the promises when it came to getting our spa installed. I'd highly recommend them.

Horribly! It took 10 months of constantly calling to get them to actually finish the job. They kept trying to say they were finished and threatened to put a lien on my home when they did not complete the work. Overpriced, took FOREVER, Quality is lacking and customer service is non-existent! Save you money and your mental health. Go somewhere else!

It’s been a year since we had a patio cover installed. Before they came out, we only had a concrete slab which led to our pool. The patio cover they put up was a complete gamechanger. Everyone was helpful during the installation process. It’s worked quite well over this past year. I feel it keeps the home a bit cooler as well. I’m glad I went with them.

We wrote them a letter to express how happy we were with the pergola they recently setup on our new home. Ms. Shannon, and Jessie were very helpful during the entire process. The expeirence we had with you guys exceeded our epectations. Our family all appreciate your excellent work and how fast you were able to complete the project. We really can't thank you guys enough.

Service was done quick, the workers were on time. The project was very complex but I think overall they did a good job with everything. We recently had an outdoor kitchen installed by Proficient and I found that everything they did was on point. The yard looks great and I'm happy I moved forward with the project.

Our project was signed with a deposit on March 11,2022 and “completed” June 22,3022. The salesman/ CEO over-estimated the amount of rock we needed. The “crew” was un-managed -and un-supervised, for both the patio cover and rocks, they showed up unannounced, 2-3 days late and uninformed. No project coordination. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because we like the patio cover but nothing else. I do not recommend this company. We had to hire a professional landscaper to thin the rocks and add a walking path. Proficient Patios was going to charge $150.00/hour and $650.00 for disposal

If you are looking to get any work done with this company, please call or text me first. I will not try and talk you out of dealing with them but I will tell you what I experienced and let you make a decision. I am not trying to recommend another company just don’t want what is happening with us to happen with someone else. Bryan 702.326.2858 Cell

A LOT of communication issues. I am satisfied with my patio shade structure. What I'm not satisfied with is my landscaping. The sales guy told me that I would get to meet with a "Landscape Designer" to talk about the plants that would go with my aesthetic. I never had a meeting with a Landscape Designer. I recieved a call on a Friday to tell me the landscapers would be there on Monday from the scheduler. I told the scheduler that I never met with a Landscape designer so how would they know what kind of plants to install? I asked if I could speak to a landscape designer and the scheduler told me he didn't speak English and to tell the scheduler what I wanted. I told the scheduler I want Pampa Grass. On Monday, the landscape crew came and just did the demolition portion. I got home to find all the demo material left on the street infront of my house which is an HOA violation. I called and they said that they would be back the next day. Through a conversation, they told me that they do not use weed blocking cover and it wasn't in my contract so if I wanted weed block, I'd have to install it myself and the Landscape Crew would cut through it to plant. My husband and I had to get material and cover our back yard that evening. On Tuesday the landscapers came back with the plants which they didn't bring Pampas Grass. Through a translator, the Landscape foreman said they had to pull up all the weed block that my husband and I had laid the night before. After lots of back and forth they finally agreed to cut through like I was they would do. They even laid additional weed block over the spots we missed due to running out of material. I inquire to the landscape crew saying "I was told you guys didn't do weed block." They replied "Sometimes they do". The landscapers ran out of rock and said they would be back later with more. When the scheduler called me to schedule the city inspection for my shad structure, I asked when the landscapers were coming back with more rock. They said my contract was for 3 tons and I was delivered 3 tons so if I wanted more, I'd have to pay for it. I told them I didn't think I should have to pay for extra rock since the estimator errored. The sales guy called me back and said that sometimes that happens and that I need another ton of rock (so my job was underestimated by 25%). I don't think it is going to take a full ton of rock. It is literally a tiny patch. After all the aggravation (no landscape designer, no Pampas Grass, the weed block problem, the hoa violation...) they can't give me a little bit more rock?! Wow! I expressed this to the sales guy and he didn't budge on me having to pay for more rock. I told them never mind, I would just buy 1/4 ton and do it myself. Very disappointing.

We gave a $10,000.00 deposit on November 16, 2018 and the patio cover was not finished until May 22, 2019. They did not communicate unless I called to find out what was happening or when someone would be at the house to work. There were constant excuses as to why things weren’t progressing. I was treated as if I was bothering them and they were too busy for me. If I had it to do over again I would not use them. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone.

Worst Experience with any company ever! Total of a 5 to 7 day project took 5 months and still not completed. This company is owned by 2 people Matt and his wife Jess. Matt is a true used car salesmen, tells you anything to get you to sign on the bottom line. At that point you get his wife Jess' cell phone number (real professional) so she can text you if the workers will be working. We went for weeks they would stop by for an hour or two. Horrible quality when they are there, and they used my yard as a parking lot for their tractors for weeks, until the HOA stepped in. Everything they did I had to have another company follow them to complete. Next the Spa, we ordered and paid for them to put the spa in the ground. They dug a hole in my yard and never delivered the Spa. We gave them a down payment of $7100 on 7/15.18 and this is December 28th today and no spa just a hole in my yard. And, I just spoke to Used car salesmen Matt, he still can't tell me when or if they will deliver. I held the last payment for the horrible landscaping but paid them off under the advice of my attorney so this clears the way for us to file a law suite. Do not even think of using this company.

I selected this company as I wanted one company that could do the landscaping, lattice awning, artifical grass and natural gas grill with cabinet. The workers were all excellent and did a great job. The only problem was that the manufacturer of the grill had a backlog and it took 4 months to get the grill installed.

I made an appointment for an estimate. Jim showed up on time and went through the options I had. They weren't the lowest price, but comparable to the others I got. They pulled the permits and scheduled a start date. Concrete was started and finished on time. The following week, the patio cover was installed. Finishing touches/cleanup and final inspection were done early the next week. I am very happy with the final result.

Scheduled date to start they did not show stated their guy called in sick did not get the call until same day and we had already taken the day off. Then they came two days later and did not finish and had to come back yet again all the while my gate had to be left unlocked. Then in putting it together they over drilled the main support beam and thought it was ok to just plug the holes and they scratched a lot of the paint coloring off down to the bare metal.
Response from Proficient Patios & Backyard Designs
"Hello Ms, I apologize if you didn't have a smooth scheduling process. I do see that the option was given to your husband to change out the beam or apply a discount to the file ,and your husband decided on getting the discount so you guys were compensated for that issue. Please let me know if there is something else I can help you guys with."

Where to even start with Proficient Patios. I would not recommend them to anyone. Let's start with the initial walk through. Edgar shows up and takes measurements and gets an idea of what we want and budget. 2 weeks later he provides a 3D rendering well above our budget. We removed a putting green which was too expensive and decided to replace with rocks and plants. He just dropped some plants down and said "I'll clean this up later." He never cleaned it up and the plants look like crap. In a 7 x 7 ft square area they have 3 plants right on top of each other with the rest empty space. Furthermore, it's been a month and all the plants are dead or dying; no idea what they did there. Now let's talk about the BBQ island. It took them 3 weeks to put in a BBQ island. Once again, Edgar says they will move the natural gas line on the pillar in order to not be seen. The guy shows up to install the grill and was just going to run a hose (WITH GAS) on the outside of the island. They claimed to have no idea about what Edgar told us and we had to wait for the electrician to come to move the gas line. Let's see, the pavers are anything but level, water will pool in certain areas. When the project was finally done they called me the next day to collect the "over due" balance. Keep in mind I had paid 75% of the cost as down payment and half way through. However, they forgot to add in the $250 fee for craning in the spa so they called again to say I was past due and had to settle up....they forgot to charge it in the first place. So now I refuse to pay the $250 until they fix all the dead plants. They schedule a 30 day walk through with me today at 8 AM. It is now 10:07 and I just called to see where they are and they tell me it could be anytime between now and 2 PM, but they will let me know when they have a better idea. So I guess I'm living my day around Proficient Patios now. In summary, they communicate poorly with you and with each other, they do spotty work at best and very slowly, and when they are done with their spotty work they hound you for payment. There are lots of options in Vegas...go elsewhere if you can.

Jessica and Matt are extremely easy to work with. Very knowledgable about the many different options and appliances to have installed. Each of their trades showed up on time, were courteous and cleaned up after their day of working was complete. This, by far, was one of the best experiences I have had in Las Vegas. Amzazing job!!!

It went well.  It has an interesting gutter system for rainfall.  The patio looks great, especially compared to the old wooden patio cover that was replaced with the aluminum product.  The job was performed as planned; on time and within planned time frame.
The only issue I had was that in order to install the patio cover a portion of a corner wood eave had to be cut off.  I was not home at the time and my spouse made the decision to let them do this in order to continue with the install.  I don't know why this had to be done; was it a measuring error?  Makes me wonder if I had been home and refused to let them cut the eave how would it have effected the install?  The "B" for quality refers to the situation with cutting the eave of my house.  We were assured that it was no big deal and that situations like that is typical in the patio cover installation business.  After the work was completed one evening, the next day I inspected the work closely.  The person who cut into the eave of the house did a very shoddy job of it and one portion of the wood looked as if it was hacked off not cut off cleanly.  I took pictures and emailed the images in along with my dissatisfaction with how it was left.  I received a response the next day with an apology and arrangements were made to have someone come back and "clean up" the cut.  It was fixed, sealed and painted to match the color of the rest of the eave.
Other than the cutting of the eave, I'm satisfied with the work.  The patio cover looks great.  Only time will tell how it will wear, but there is a warranty.  "B" for price as it did seem a tad pricey, but I'm hoping it's worth it (as in looks great years into the future).
