Delayed call back to schedule service, but able to get in right away on arrival. Parts were in stock. Technician discovered damaged axle boot during work on struts and made me aware by showing obvious fault. Plainly discussed severity, options. Price for job(s) known in advance with no surprise 'extra fees', not including previously unknown damage to boot.

car was in the shop much longer than promised. when i got the car back, it was dirty and the air conditioning was weak and warm. the car broke down a few weeks after the repair.

They were pretty good. The last time I went there they tried to up sell something to me and after that I never went back. The people working there have changed and the new people there are not as good as the first ones there. The work they have done for me has been good.

They did a very good job on the air conditioner but when they looked at my brakes, they estimated a ridiculously high price. There were other associated things that they tried to upsell me with. I determined that some of these other things did not need to be done.

I took my car in to Pep Boys because my check engine light came on and I wanted to see what the problem could be. They hooked it up to a computer to get the error codes. They got a code, but couldn't figure out what it was; but they still charged me. They told me to run some fuel cleaner through it and it could fix it, but it didn't. I guess that's why you take your car to a real mechanic. I won't take my car there again.
