Good crew good job. Jose was outstanding

My experience with working with Jose of MJ CONSTRUCTION GROUP has not turned into a nightmare. I would not recommend this company to anyone based off the service I received. Let Jose tell it, I am the problem because I am not excepting all the mistakes he made as complete satisfaction work. He comes off as an experienced expert when in fact, he is not qualified to do the work I hired him for. I hired Jose to complete my kitchen after I lost my entire first level including the kitchen due to water damage. His job was to install new cabinets, with all the trimming and new counters tops because I was extending my island. My kitchen was the last project to be completed. All drywall was cut out about a foot up and I lost my kitchen cabinets and flooring everywhere except the kitchen. Actually MJ construction gave me a quote for the closing of the walls and painting my entire 1st level but I chose another company from this site. Just before the other project where done, he contacted me again to quote my kitchen rebuild. We talked in detail about what I wanted and came up with a cost that was more than I wanted to pay but I felt for his story and signed a contract with him plus I gave him a down payment of $6700 on May 3rd. Shortly after he received my money, the trickery began. He when on vacation which I do not care about but he did not order the cabinets we discussed. I did ask him to return my money because he starting off on the wrong foot. He said he misunderstood some things we talked about so I continue working with him. I wish I would have got my money back and moved on, but I gave him a chance to prove himself. Big mistake, Todays date is 7/18/22 and my kitchen still is not finished. On top of that, all of the issued that we have had since the beginning are not satisfactory. He just want me to stop bringing up issues and just live with it. He blames his wrongdoing on everyone but himself. He has made multiple notable errors since he starting. He measured wrong which makes the outcome of today completely wrong. All I keep hearing is Is let me finish because I can fix it. Now we have reached the part that I cannot live with but again he can fix it and he cannot without damaging my walls and new cabinets. The only good thing he did on this job was finding a good cabinet maker. My kitchen still is completed because his workmanship is unsatisfactory and he cannot fix at this point. I can go on and on because I have not even went in depth about Jose and MJ Construction Group. Jose needs more training or to stay in his lane of expertise because it is not kitchens.

Jose came out the next day to look over my project and then emailed me a very detailed proposal. Glad I hired him, he was polite, professional and got the work done rather quickly. I'm pleased with the drywall work he did and the orange peel. I would definitely hire him again!

Jose and Joey were very professional and did a fantastic job. Arrived on time and finished up the job in less than two day. Very happy with results. We would hire them again for other projects.

Very speedy service! The same day of contacting them, they were able to come over and give me a quote and able to come the next day to fix it. They patched a couple holes in the drywall and did a great job that blended in really nicely so you never would ve known it was a patch job. It only took a couple hours too. Very good communication, timely, and professional.

Gave me a good explanation of what needs to be done and a good price for the work to be done. Haven't actually had the work done yet but I plan to have it done as soon as I return from my trip. I will have him do it.
