First week was good, second week fair, third week poor. Services progressed in shorter and poorer quality as each week went on. Such a disappointment. Very prompt, excellent deal $, and professional, but quality of cleaning got worse as time passed. Dropped service after 3 weeks.

Arrived two hrs late. Did not call to notify me. I finally called after an hour and a half and was told it would be about 30 minutes. Two women showed up rather than the three I was told to expect. They did an okay job on a house that was very dirty. However they didn't get the baseboards, or wipe down cabinet doors in the kitchen. I was thinking that I needed housecleaning at my new house but will be looking elsewhere!

I called Brandon’s number because he had high reviews.  I spoke with a man named Shawn and that I was calling for Brandon’s group.  The others did not have good reviews.  He said I should have that group.  He took my information and never said they would send whoever they wanted.  I called looking for a green housecleaning company.  I told them I wanted green products on my floors.  They said everyone was trained on how to use the products.  He said three girls would come and clean top to bottom.  When they came, there were only two girls.  They asked if I wanted anything special and I thought something was going on.  She started cleaning the floors and I asked what she was using and she said she was using tap water.  I asked where the products were and she said, that I had to supply the products.  I told them to stop.

I called the owner and asked about Brandon and was told the girls worked for Val.  They flat out lied about the group and the products they use.  I don’t know if they all use water and pocket the money, but Val’s group did.  Amy, the office manager, refused to call me back after corporate told her to.  At this point they have not charged me and I hope they have the wrong card.  They lied and this is borderline false advertising and that is not okay.

They didn't clean the floors, the tv, the glass bulbs.  They are not well trained.  It was a lying fiasco from the beginning.  Shawn from the answering service set up this big lie.  I specifically said I only wanted Brandon's team and he said it was fine.  He flat out lied, because he knew he was sending whoever was in my zip code. I am also upset that they had the nerve to charge me $165.00 after 6 days when I had called and expressed how dissatisfied I was. When you call in to schedule, you do not get to choose the team you want, you get assigned a team within your zip code.

"THIS IS NOT MY COMPANY PLEASE REMOVE AND POST TO THE CORRECT PLACE. Brandon Cross. I do not own or have ANYTHING to do with Henderson or Vals employees. This posting is not my company. Please feel free to call me at 324-4725 and I can explain further."

They do a nice job and their prices are reasonable.   Right now I am mad with them.   I am not a morning person and the day before they come their scheduler would call and tell me the time they are going to show up.  Last month they came early even before I washed my face or brushed my teeth.  I told them to go away and come back in 20 minutes and it disoriented me the whole day.  I called their boss Brandon and told him not to that to me. I told him it was fine to me if they came late but I don’t like them coming early.  Yesterday was my birthday and I was having a conference call with my brother and sister out of state and five minutes into that call they came early again.  I had to interrupt the phone call and again they were half an hour early.  I told him not to do that and I told him that if he does that again I would find someone else.  They are very trust worthy and honest.  They do what you ask and they do a nice job.  If you want anything different done than what they normally do, you can ask them and they would do it. They are nice women.  I spend $95 for an hour and half of work and most of the time I have 2 women come out but sometimes it is 3. I think that is a lot of work for that price. The women do a good job and I was just not happy because they disturb me.

Unacceptable from start to finish. My initial phone call to Val Gersting to get a bid for regular service was not returned. I had to call a second time to reach him. Of the 4 services I called, his was the only service that did not come to the house, but gave the bid over the phone. I selected Maid Brigade because they were the lowest price, and I ended up getting just what I paid for. Initial cleaning was acceptable. Second clean was not acceptable and I completed the comment card on the Maid Brigade web site, rating the clean as unacceptable and detailing all problems. I provided my phone number and fully expected a call from Val, as I would certainly do if I had an unhappy client. I never received that phone call, so I called Val a few days prior to the next scheduled clean to discuss my concerns with him. We had a good discussion, I provided details of all problem areas and he seemed concerned about my unhappiness with the service. The next regular clean was performed and it was acceptable. I was very surprised that I did not hear from Val inquiring about my satisfaction with the service, as he knew that I had been unhappy with the previous clean, but he never did contact me. The next clean was scheduled for April 6th with a window of 10:00 AM to Noon. When no one had arrived (or phoned) by 12:15, I called the office and left a message. We had to leave the house about 12:30 for an appointment and when we returned home later that afternoon there was a message from Val - he had called at about 1:20 PM, apologizing for the no show and attempting to reschedule the clean. I questioned him as to why someone had not called us the morning of the clean when they knew they would be late (or not be here at all), and he did apologize for that, but seemed very unconcerned overall about our inconvenience. It really did not seem to be a big deal to him. We traded messages for several days at which time I determined that I was not ever going to be satisfied with this level of customer service so it was best if we simply part company. I spent my entire career in a service industry and I have quite high standards and expectations regarding customer service. Val Gersting and this Maid Brigade office does not share these customer service standards, so I caution anyone thinking of using this service to keep that in mind.

2. I was not at home during the cleaning service (I was out of town) so upon my return I was extremely disappointed to determine that they did not clean the refrigerator and that they only cleaned the top portion of the oven and not the broiler; especially, when I spoke to Val on the same day the ladies came but after the ladies left my home to verify pricing and completed services, in particular, because I wanted to tip the ladies which I did (since my husband stated they did a good job). In fact, I tipped them each $30. Thus, during our follow-up conversation Val told me that the reason it took them so long was because they had to clean the refrigerator and the stove but that he was reducing the fee since they were two hours late. And, that he would only charge me $180. However, when I looked at my bank statement to reconcile my charges for the quarter, I determined that he flat out lied and fraudulently charged me $190. Therefore, I am considering a small claims court filing/complaint and I am definitely filing a Better Business Bureau complaint and I am listing all of this on Angie's List and anywhere else I possibly can to let others know how this gentleman does business. 3. I am also pursuing this because I wanted to enroll with recurring services since the ladies did do a good job so I called Val back and asked him why he charged the additional $10 when he told me one dollar amount and charged me another. He told me that I should be happy with what I got since he reduced the fee an extra $15 for the ladies being two hours late which DOES NOT EVEN COVER THE DENTAL LATE FEE OR OVERTIME THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR MY BABYSITTER. Lastly, he said that he could go back and charge me for more hours and have the ladies come out to clean the refrigerator and stove. I was astounded at his response; particularly when I stated initially that I wanted to enroll with his recurring service I just wanted to him to make things right from the first visit.

This company has a green certification program. I believe it is an internal certification, so they can make their own standards. But, I can tell from the lack of chemical smell that greener than usual cleaners are used, very important with a baby in the house. They do a much better job than our $50 a week, unreliable cleaner did. Professional and also provide a survey for feedback.

I have been using this maid service for 5 years and have been very pleased with their service. I think that their prices are fair and I have no complaints with the work that they do for me. I am selling my home and the new owners are keeping the maid service on from my recommendation.
