M & K HEATING & COOLING SVC

M&K Heating and Cooling Services did a really bad install with many code violations being broken back when my AC unit was installed by them in 2011. I only just found this out because I posted for AC troubleshooting help on the internet and people were going crazy over the code violations and safety issues in the video I made of the unit. M&K Heating and Cooling Services also came by in 2017 and didnt acknowledge the issues nor inform us of these issues. I contacted them the other day about these concerns, the unit has a 10 year warranty anyway, but I wanted them to fix all of these code violations with the installation. We didn't feel safe and felt like we had been lied to and cheated out of labor time which should have been spent on a quality installation. The unit and install was $5500, that is a lot of money and I couldnt believe out gas lien was supported by a piece of electrical wire amongst other things. They came out the next day and fixed all of the issues for free. They explained that the person who installed it wasn't working there anymore and that the owners son just didnt notice the problems when he visited in 2017. They installed a drip leg as Clark County required them from 2008. They replaced the indoor appliance hose they used with a proper rated one for outdoor gas supply. They re-supported the gas line with a proper metal bracket because they tied it to the support with some random electrical cable before. Finally they add a stop tap for the gas. The some electrical shut off pieces in the box fell apart when i opened the flap in my hands, but I addressed that myself. It looks good now and im happy with the install. I was going to rate 5 stars as the problem was addressed and taken seriously, but they arrived 40-45 minutes late and didnt email or phone us. I was kinda waiting by the front door wondering what was going on. I would think they would want to make a good impression after everything that has happened. I will include some images of the new install once its light outside again

They arrived on time, evaluated the problem and called the office to see if it was still under warranty. It was and they were able to fix it free of charge!

they were here on time, performed the check, told me what was happening and fixed it. Awesome! We have used them several times in the past when needed, too. When we first moved in to this house they even got the service covered under the warranty. Which we had no idea about since it was a foreclosure. Very impressed! Today I called (Saturday) to service our rental house. The heater appears to have some fire damage. I called and she is sending someone right out!

Their estimator was the most honest and informative of the several estimators I had come to my home. One of the others told me that I had a dangerous CO2 leak and that I should let them replace my units right now. The guy from Mand K reassured me my units were not leaking CO2 and were working OK, but were quite old (30 years!) and quite inefficient.They were the low bidders for quality equipment (Rheem and Trane). They got it all installed in less than a day and were very professional. I plan to use them for all my HVAC maintenance.

They provide excellent service, they came out and corrected a situation that could have been really bad. I have used them several times now and would highly recommend them to others.
