Hired them for landscaping + BBQ island + fire pit. Total contract value was six figures. I’ll spare myself writing the novella length review of the various things that went wrong over the course of the project, and instead just summarize by saying I’ve had to file a complaint with the State Contractors Board to hopefully get resolution. Buyer beware.

Living Water was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. From talking to Rebecca (Office person) to make the appointment. The owner Mark coming out to discuss what we wanted in the backyard and how best to get it done. To all the people on the job every day being polite and knowledgeable in answering any questions we might have. The work we wanted was the concrete patio and sidewalk removed and pavers installed, we also wanted the old grill island removed and a new one built, we wanted a fire pit and both to use house gas. Next we wanted the pool deck resurfaced and a 6ft section of it replaced do to cracks. There was auguring of 2 holes 4in watering holes for each of the 4 sumacs. Last but not least all rock removed and new rock put back. After Mark took measurements we talked more about what we wanted and what things cost. Never once did we feel as if he was rushing our conversation. He fully answered all my questions and asked a few of his own. We were told it takes about a week to finish the estimate. 6 days later we got our line by line estimate. At which time we paid $1,000 to have Mark do a computer generation simulation of what our back yard would like. If you accept the bid this goes towards your bill. The work to be completed was removal 15 by 20ft section of concrete patio and attached side walk, removal of old grill island 12X10X4 (stucco and metal frame) , mostly dead grass, 15 to 20 tons of rock, grinding down of pool deck and full replacement of 6ft part of pool deck. Install work was; put in gas line from house to grill island and fire pit, install 20 tons of rock, install 15 plants, build grill island (grill, frig, two drawers and paper towel holder), install 10 lights and control box and install patio pavers from driveway to back of house creating the patio. People to mention; Christian who spent 10 days meticulously building this incredible island BBQ. He cut and laid every block with care. Ensuring each one was just right before cementing any in place. Yugo who had to come out three times to fix plants that weren’t doing well. I can’t say enough about the way we were treated every time we called with questions or concerns. The time everyone took to listen and if need be stop by to see what we were talking about. Thank you all so much for making our back yard this wonderful, peaceful and relaxing space.

Great company. Absolutely perfect and impressive! My yard was designed by myself and the owner of the company. I was highly impressed by that were able to do everything I wanted and were given a true timeline and chose all the materials. I was in disbelief of the amazing transformation and high quality work. It is fun to watch my friends come by and their jaws drop and we are loving our additional living space outside. I truly could not be more pleased with the attention to detail we received from the staff and the owner. I will be recommending LIVING WATER to everyone who is willing to invest in a high quality perfect yard! From my first phone call to project completion, everything was handled in a meticulously professional manner. Keith was our project designer and manager.and understood what our desire was for our new backyard. The crew that came to do the work, was the absolute best. They worked so hard each day, keeping us informed as the project progressed. Their work was amazing and left us with a new backyard beyond what we imagined. Attention to detail must be their mantra! I also had decorative stone put in, lighting throughout the yard, and they fixed my irrigation system that was a mess.. Living Water Lawn and Garden are Awesome! They completely transformed my backyard into paradise. I attempted to redo my backyard and failed. Thankfully Keith and team were able to make my vision a reality. They built a raised patio with garden beds complete with irrigation and lighting fixtures that is so cool! It is the focal point of my yard and anyone who comes over compliments their work. They also sealed all the stone work which makes everything look brand new. This company is great, I cannot recommend them enough!

Keith Howard designed our backyard plan. Christian and Angel executed, and did the demolition work, irrigation, drainage, pavers, etc. The results are amazing -- high quality and usable space. They kept to their schedule and were highly professional. Please note that Living Water is not the "value price" option. Living Water is a high service and quality company with a higher price tag. However, their work is exceptional and the money is well spent. We highly recommend this company.

Since we were on vacation while the work was performed, I am only able to relay the results. The work was performed professionally and the final results were excellent. The pavers had the white sheen removed and also the sealant that I had applied the year before. They had the natural colors restored and they were then resealed. My wife and I were very happy with the end result and we can now enjoy the back yard again.

We hired Living Water after seeing a neighbors' yard they were working on. Glad we did.
We met with Mark and Christine and they listened to what we wanted, made suggestions, and came up with a plan, which they put on YouTube so we could see what it would look like. Big help.
The yard turned out beautiful. We did not want a pool (too much maintenance) so we went with an outdoor kitchen, putting green (artificial turf), and other plantings and other brick work. Mark dealt with the HOA, which can be a challenge. They denied some of what we wanted, but it wasn't bad--didn't change the design so it didn't matter.
The work was done in a professional, timely manner. They guys installing the yard were great.
After the project was completed, Mark came and explained things to us and told us if we had questions, just call.

Mark and his crew from Living Water did a SUPERB job. We had Living Water demolish a previously installed fountain from another landscape company. Mark took on this job with a great attitude and the determination to do this job right. It was not a small task! He designed and installed a new water feature with surrounding landscape that is beautiful. Mark did what he said and even exceeded our expectations! We also had him add some additional plants, check the irrigation and drainage issues. Living Water did an excellent job in all areas. Mark stayed in touch with me regarding the schedule and any changes. He and his team are very professional, pay attention to all the details and are very customer focused. FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Our pavers look better than new. Living Water spent a great amount of time removing stains, adding sand and cleaning up the pavers. They moved all the furniture, returned it to where it was! Cleaned up everything after they were done. They take pride in their work and it shows in every detail. What a pleasure to deal with this company!

Keith Howard and his associate moved all the patio furniture and did the work as described in the contract. It turned out even better than I thought it would. The pavers hadn't been touched for a number of years, but their treatment made the subtle colors come to life once again. As Mr. Howard promised, the pavers didn't end up with a glossy enamel-looking shine but just made my 2006-vintage pavers look absolutely gorgeous. They look so nice that visitors have remarked on them and thought I had had them replaced. (Gee, I didn't think they looked that worn!) The furniture was put back in place, I very happily inspected the work and was told to avoid walking on it for 45 minutes or so. When they left, you couldn't tell anyone had hauled sand around or sprayed epoxy-----except for the beautiful improvement.
If and when I decide to do additional work around my patio area, they're the ones I'll call!

Two weeks ago Living Water Lawn and Garden owner Mark Mcloone and his crew transformed our backyard. And we are more than thrilled with how it turned out and with our experience with Mark and his company.
We knew how we wanted our backyard to look; however we had no idea how to achieve it. We met with three other
landscape designers before Mark and told them all the same thing; we wanted a shady backyard oasis with lots of trees, plants, and a patch of artificial turf for our dogs. We didn?t want it to look flat so something to create depth was needed that included a sunken seating area. And we wanted to use pavers for any part of the yard that didn?t include plants or rocks along with an irrigation and fertilizer system with architectural lighting throughout.
Here are the reasons we chose Living Water Lawn and Garden.
Now, we would like to say why we are so happy that we chose Living Water Lawn and Garden:
1-Mark is so easy to work with. When we told him we wanted a certain brand of lighting he checked it out and made sure we got it. Because of our two dogs, we wanted something that provided even more drainage for our artificial turf. I found some information on line and Mark did some research, determined it would be a good idea and made sure it was installed. He worked with us to find just the right kind of plants that would achieve the look we wanted.
2)His crew works HARD and they seem to take a lot of pride in their work. I know because I was home every day except one. They arrived early in the morning and got right to work. Hugo and his crew didn't leave until they had completed the work that was scheduled that day and even worked on a Saturday to make sure our yard was done on time. The last thing they did every day before they left was to clean up the site. We had rocks, sand, dirt and pallets of pavers delivered to the street in front of our house. When they were done, we could not even tell there was anything there! The street was cleaner than before they had started. Very important when there is a HOA involved. Additionally, they cleaned up the dust that had accumulated on the back of the house and screens from cutting the pavers.
3) Mark was there every step of the way. He came out quite a few times to check on how it was going and took the time to answer any questions we had. When the trees he picked out were delivered, Mark was there to make sure that they had arrived in good condition and that they were placed correctly. When I had a question that needed to be answered before the turf was installed, his response was immediate! We really think that our backyard is just as important to him as it is to us.
In conclusion, we highly recommend contacting Mark and his company, Living Water Lawn and Garden when looking for landscape design.

- 1-Mark made a very detailed YouTube video and sent the link to us in the same amount of time that the other three companies took to submit their plans. With no design fee! We could look at it any time we wanted to as much as we wanted to. We could stop, fast forward and rewind. So much better than going to a showroom or having someone come to the house to show you the plans on their computer. We really felt we could take our time and make an informed decision on a design we saw many times instead of just once or twice. The video included a day version as well as a night version so we could see just how the lights would look. It also included how the yard would look at various times during the day. It made it so much easier to make a decision when we could see what it actually would look like! When we met to discuss price and the contract, Mark provided us with a detailed architectural drawing with the names of the kind of plants, shrubs and trees he was going to use. Every time we made a change, he would send us a revised invoice or drawing-depending if the change was a plant or the materials to be used so there would be no confusion.
2- Oh, did we mention there was no design fees?
3-Price. Mark came in under what we thought was reasonable for the work we wanted and almost half, yes, half of another "high end" landscape designer's estimate. Mark's price included all the same materials and procedures that the other landscape designer included. Now, we are all aware of the saying "you get what you pay for" however here is the difference. Overhead. Mark doesn't employ a designer;he does all the designs himself. Additionally, there is no fancy showroom to go to see a presentation of what your yard will look like. We learned from our own research what was needed to complete our yard the right way with root barriers, sealing for the property line walls, etc. Mark's price included everything and more to make sure that our our backyard will stay beautiful for years to come.
4. - Responsiveness. Whether it be by phone, text or e-mail Mark was very quick to answer our many questions. And if he couldn't, his wife, Christine, would respond very quickly to let us know that our message was received and when he could get back to us. We never felt like we were left hanging.

As new residents of the Las Vegas area, we looked to Angie?s List to help us locate a landscaper who could turn the clumps of red dirt and rocks surrounding our new home into a garden/spa retreat. Our criteria list was short ? creative talent, integrity and project management expertise ? but more than we imagined, finding a vendor who could meet these three requirements was more problematic than we anticipated. Several we interviewed fulfilled one and even sometimes two of the criteria but it wasn?t until we met with Mark McCloone of Living Waters that we knew we had found the right partner.
From the first contact, Mark impressed us with his professionalism. He asked the right questions and probed for more information to be sure he fully understood what we wanted, our budget and our concerns. The landscape drawings Mark came back with were beautiful and required only minor alterations. The proposal was also within our budget range.
Another indication we had made the right choice with Living Waters were the three sub-contractors Mark used for construction of the pool, the side yard portico cover and the fence around the pool. Adams Pools, Ace Awnings and Amazing Iron Works Inc. provided first class services and we never had to worry about a thing because Mark project managed the entire process. Like Mark?s landscaping project, this work was completed as scheduled, the crew was polite and the work space was always left neat and tidy at the end of the day.
After sales service was equally as important to us and once again, Mark exhibited his professionalism and integrity. Phone calls were returned within the same day; as necessary plants were replaced without question; and gardening advice was always plentiful.
The completed project was more perfect and awesome than we could have ever imagined or hoped for and has added value to our home. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Living Waters for any such projects.

We were kept very informed throughout the whole process as far as dates of completion for each stage, pricing, and what to expect. Mark and Bernie did a great job in helping us to design the backyard and making our ideas and visions a reality. Mark also designed a virtual backyard which we were able to view on our computer and make changes to. This greatly helped us to get an idea of what our yard would look like, especially since we started with just dirt!! I would highly recommend Living Waters and Adams pools to anyone looking to complete their yard.

"We were very surprised and disappointed to read this review. We did not realize the dissatisfaction of this customer. Had we known, we would have gone out of our way to make them happy, as customer satisfaction is our main priority. Sometimes on a construction project of this nature course correction is needed due to unexpected variables. We had to course correct a couple times on this project for minor issues, but always did things with excellence with the goal of getting the job done right. We gave this customer a finished product that we are proud of and stand behind 100%. We were always available to this customer via phone call, emails and text messages. I looked through our email records and a prompt reply was always given anytime this customer had a question or concern. A courtesy call was given a few weeks after the project's completion, but our phone call was not returned. We reached out to this customer after receiving the review, but we have not heard back. We take communicating with our clients seriously and are committed to getting the job done right the first time."

Mark came out and spent a good amount of time with us, determining what
we were looking for and letting us know what would be feasible in our
back yard.
The rendering was back to us 3 days later, and he
didn't have any issues re-doing it after some design suggestion changes
from us.
Work started approximately 2 months later (scheduling issues on our end). Work was completed the day before July 4, and we were able to have the unveiling party on 7/4.
Throughout the process, Mark and his team were always available, either through text messaging or phone / email. When we discovered that there was a large amount of water leaking through the retaining wall that was put up, Living Water sent out a group of people that re-worked the irrigation that they had installed, as they found that a few of the 1/4" lines had separated from the 1/2" line. We also had a potted plant that had pinched off its water line, and they fixed that as well.
All in all, I was very pleased with the service provided, and am very pleased with the outcome of the yard itself!
Follow-up: We contacted them again regarding a few plants that had not survived the summer, they were replaced with no issue.
Follow-up #2: We had them come and re-rock our front yard. They moved our old rock to our neighbors' yard (at LW's suggestion, both yards had the same rock and theirs was quite thin) at no additional cost. 2 yards on the block fixed up for the price of one.

"We are sorry to hear of your displeasure. Your project's total was $2900, not $3900. You project was installed as per the invoice you approved. We installed 5 gallon cacti, 5 gallon shrubs and 1 gallon shrubs. The plants we purchased and installed were the sizes listed on the invoice. The bulk of your plants were cacti, which are slow growing and more expensive that regular 5 gallon plants and shrubs. Your husband picked out the cacti when we did a walk through at the nursery. We provided you with multiple estimates and in the end you told us you want to skim down tremendously as you were going to be moving. Larger plants and shrubs were suggested, but you had them all omitted in order to bring the price down since you had decided to move. We stand by the work we did on your project. We stand by the price we charged you. I'm sorry you felt like $2900 should have bought you more. Perhaps you are not familiar with landscape pricing and the amount of work that goes into a landscaping project of this size. Your project was completed almost a year ago. If you wish to see your plants grow more, we suggest fertilizing and proper care. Just like any living thing, plants need tending to to ensure maximum success."

He came in and said they start their prices at $5,000.00. I did not like the attitude of the person so we did use a different company. He called after the assessment and I told him I was not prepared to spend that amount of money on the work and he questioned me and asked why I even called for the service. The design was not that great.

Mark and all his staff were professional to a fault and very reliable. They listened to what we truly wanted and modified the design to meet our mental picture. The end result is an inviting backyard retreat. The cost for having our backyard turned into this lovely retreat, designed by Mark, the owner, was worth every cent we spent. Mark showed up and gave me a quote for a number of issues that I had with the property since I purchased the house. He fixed pavers in my driveway as well. The bulk of the work was a patio that I needed. I wanted pavers. I received a few quotes from other companies. Those quotes were just square footage over the phone and random prices that seemed to change with every conversation. Mark showed up, gave me an idea for some designs and gave me a decent quote considering I needed other attention due to issues with my irrigation system on different sides of the house.
I plan on doing more with the backyard but for now I just needed the pavers as I was also getting a hot tub and a patio cover. I will definitely be contacting Mark when that time comes.

I wasn’t that happy with the design. They didn’t fully listen to what I wanted. I got another design that was free from another company, was much better, and I used them to do the work. They got the design to me in about 1-2 weeks. The guy that came out was good, but I just didn’t like the design.
