LIBERTY GARAGE DOORS AND GATES

Initially, it seemed the service from this company was very good. They replaced our garage door motor and gave a warranty. I had not 'shopped around.' The problems with this company were these: The garage door began working intermittently shortly after the job was completed. The service man was always courteous and prompt when he came out once I could reach him. He would fiddled with the sensors and leave. On my last call to him he said our sensors were bad and there was no point in coming unless we replaced them. I went to Angie's list, found another company as his price seemed quite high for new sensors and discovered that the other company's offer for a new garage door motor not only included the sensors but at a substantially lower cost. It was explained that if the motor was bad the sensors would be soon as well. I had the other company install the sensors and am very pleased with them. As far as Liberty Garage Door and Gates is concerned I am left feeling they knowingly did a less than adequate job while charging excessively, possibly because of the area in which we live, and had little regard for the repeated inconveniences to our family. I also resent that they would not give a quote over the phone without knowing my zip code. I hope there will be no problems with the motor before the warranty runs out as I would never willingly do business with them again.

He is polite, courteous, friendly, and helpful.
