I've gone to this emergency hospital a couple of times. The staff and doctors are great. They do a good job of calming you down. They are thorough and helpful. I highly recommend them. Dr. Denise Taylor was professional with many years of experience in the emergency care field. I told them that I would prefer not to need their service, but I'm so thankful they are there when I do :)

We picked her up at 7:30 am, the bill was explained to us the night before, we were given a low to high estimate, all broken down into detail, so we knew what we were going to pay. We ended up paying a little over the low estimate. They washed the blanket she went in with for us, and gave us the rest of her unused IV fluid bag (so we could take it to her regular vet). Very considerate!!

Okay. My dog ended up being okay.

My indoor/outdoor cat ingested an unknown poison while outside early on a Saturday morning. I had read an article about this facility, which is open when other vets' offices are closed (24 hours a day on weekends and holidays and every night of the week); so I called them, and they said they'd be waiting for him. My cat couldn't have been in better hands. They immediately took him to triage when I brought him in. They diagnosed poisoning (they ultimately deduced that he was suffering from organophosphate toxicity), drew blood, and started treatment with charcoal (to absorb the poison) and other drugs to ease his symptoms. He spent 48 hours in the hospital, and they saved his life. They welcomed my frequent calls to check on his condition, each time putting Dr. Kessler or his nurse on the phone to update me and answer my questions. They also allowed me to visit my cat (I went there three times over two days). They brought him to see me in a private room and gave us time alone together, which was very comforting to both my cat and me. They were very compassionate with both of us. This was the best-equipped animal hospital I'd ever seen. They monitored my cat's condition every minute, 24 hours a day. While my regular vet is wonderful, I don't know if they would have been equipped to offer the level of care my cat received at Las Vegas Animal Emergency Hospital. The final bill was quite expensive, but the price was reasonable given the level of care my cat received. They ask that you pay 75% of each estimate up front (although they partner with a company that offers credit if necessary), but my cat's life is worth everything to me; so the cost was totally unimportant. I would recommend them wholeheartedly if your pet is ever faced with an emergency or serious illness when other vets are closed.
