KIMBALL HILL HOMES

This was actually the second time that we had them build a home for us. They do good quality work. They are more of a second or third time home builder. By that I mean that they build more plush, luxury homes. My home is very solid and I am very happy with their work. There were just a couple things we noticed after they were done but they took care of it right away. I would recommend them to anyone!

I was in the market for a family home in the $800.000-$900.000 range and found a beautiful new subdivision by Kimball-Hill homes in Henderson. The initial discussion with the sales team where very positive, the model home nice and I was ready to sign the contract. As the homes where advertised as semi-custom, I was looking for some modifications to finishes and layouts, nothing major and offered to pay for all. Due to the strong market for them the sales people become incredible arrogant, the building foreman and model of can-not-do-spirit and I ended up canceling the contract the last minute. Several lenthy letters to first senior management and then the CEO went unanswered and where ignored. God forbid you actually buy a home from them and have a problem, Kimball Hill will not give a damn for your needs or your money!

Kimball Hill built our new home, we chose many upgrades and everything we requested was done. The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and everything was done in the estimated six-month period. The backyard was four feet shorter than it was supposed to be and the foundation was bigger than the floor plans. This was not something that could be corrected easily so we were compensated with some other things like a washer & dryer combination. The house did have some cosmetic things that needed attention and they were slow getting to our concerns, but everything did get fixed.

Kimball Hill Homes did an okay job building our home; however we were disappointed that they had flipped the floor plan designs so everything was built backwards from the way we had wanted it. Other than that, there were a few items that needed some additional attention after our home was built and they gladly took care of them.
