Just Like Home Doggie Hotel and Grooming

I loved the fact that the dogs were not crated at night so my dogs could sleep together and not feel "caged". They hate crates! I really love that there are cameras with live-streaming so I could check in at any time. They are quite good, caring and loving - my dogs were well care for and I felt, in good hands. I didn't like that it was such a drive for me to get to and from the place and I did not like how my dogs smelled when I picked them up. It is normal for animal boarding centers to smell of "dog" but this was a bit more than I had expected. The requirement for certain vaccinations is much too frequently, more than is recommended by my vet which I feel is unwise for my dogs. The groomer did a great job. I will still use them again but only until I find a better solution for my situation.

Jeff did a great job on Buddy. He was quite matted when we took him in and he had to shave him. Buddy seemed to like him from the start and Jeff said he behaved very well for him which had not been the case with other groomers so we were elated about that.

Jeff did several haircut for Buddy and it went really well.

After looking at all the places boarding dogs on the west side of Las Vegas and around the airport, I decided there was only one where I would take my dogs, and that was Just Like Home! I brought my dogs there early in the morning as I left to visit family for a week. It was so convenient since they are open early and stay open late.

My dogs are very social and go to the park daily. Just Like Home has large outdoor areas where my dogs could wander, play and enjoy the freedom of being out like they were used to. At night they were in rooms with comfortable bedding. My 14 year old dog sometimes has trouble getting up in the morning with her arthritis, and they were always there to help her and give her a loving pat.

The best part was the Webcam. I quickly became addicted to watching my dogs and it was so great seeing how well they were taken care of. The cameras were always on with night vision when they were sleeping giving me extra peace of mind.

Just Like Home is the best place to board dogs. I will always take my dogs there where they are happy and safe.

We went to Just Like Home Doggie Hotel and Grooming for overnight boarding and day care for our 6 month old German Shepherd. The staff was great and checking in and out was very easy. I was having separation anxiety because we have never left him before, but Tracy was great and set up the web cam on my tablet so we were able to see Baron , and that really put us at ease about leaving him. There is someone on site 24 hrs. We got a report card about how he played, pottied ate and slept. Yes we will use Just Like Home Doggie Hotel and Grooming again!

I have had my dogs groomed and boarded at Just Like Home for almost three years and consistently find them to be highly professional and consistently caring for my pets. The grooming is carried out to my specifications and when I pick up the dogs after boarding (in one case for three weeks) they are happy and healthy. The staff knows my dogs by name and exhibit true caring when I bring them in. I will continue to use Just Like Home for grooming and boarding because I trust them with my pets and I know I'll not be disappointed.

This was the second time I used their services. This time, my dog was a little more social this time. They seperate the big dogs from the small ones. All the dogs are friendly or at least not hostile, or they get separated from the rest. My dog actually played with some of the other dogs. They have fenced in yards outside with playground equipment in some. They even have a water park for dogs. Inside, they have rooms that look like someones living room or bedroom with couches, chairs, pillows on the floor. In the morning, someone takes the dogs outside and spends time with them so they have human companionship. My dog hates it when I leave her anywhere but our house. When I picked her up, she was glad to see me, but she was in no big hurry to leave. That has never happened before. She loved it there and I honestly think she had a good time. And their rates are reasonable. I'm very glad I found this place, and I did find them on Angie's list. I will always use Just Like Home when I have to leave my dog.

This place is the BEST boarding place I've used!
I moved here from southern California where they had tons of these types of boarding places. But none as cheap, and none close to their level of service.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, I had driven by it many times not noticing. The first time I came, I was hesitant because the plain outside looks kind of run down. But inside they have several rooms set up 'just like home', with couches, end tables, so cute. And there is an outdoor play area with pools, and a kiddy play set with a slide. I was worried with the couches that my dog would get used to jumping on furniture, at home she's not allowed unless invited. But she seems to understand, and that hasn't been a problem.
They also have a webcam (with night vision), a really cool touch. You can log in anytime day or night and see your dog, on the computer or on your iPhone! I've never had a problem logging in. It's comforting to be out of town and check on your dog anytime.
The best part of this place is the staff. They are so nice and you can tell they really care. After the first time I came, they remembered my dog. And my dog (Scarlet - who has bad separation anxiety) loves it here! She now knows the route to Just Like Home and is excited as soon as we get off the highway. Now that she knows the place, she doesn't look back when I drop her off, she is excited to get in the back and play with the dogs. - Such a piece of mind when leaving her.
I mainly use Just Like Home for overnight boarding, but have used the daycare in the summer so she can play with other dogs in AC. And I've gotten her the deshedding grooming package, which they did a great job.
Just the fact that my dog is happy when I leave her, with her separation anxiety is enough to seal the deal with me. But the great staff and webcam access put this place over the top for me.

I always board my dogs at Just Like Home. I tried Doggie District and my dog came home with a cough ( yes, he was UTD on shots) plus their prices are a-la-carte. I have never had a bad experience like the other reviewer. Yes, it is not in Snobberlin, but it is fairly centrally located. My dogs LOVE the water park and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Just Like Home. At least give them a try. Boarding at the vet is just cruel and so is boarding at Doggie District (unless you pay extra, your dog stays locked up except for potty breaks). Just Like Home is free play, no cages, one price. WIN, WIN, as far as I'm concerned!!

I love these folks! But more importantly, my dog, Jazzie, loves them! Jazzie has spent many days in play here and has boarded with them a few times. The minute we pull into their parking lot she loses her mind! Where I have had to tug her along to other competitors of Just Like Home, she WANTS to be here! There is no higher praise for dog boarders than that.
The things I love about them, other than they give Jazzie great care, are as follows:
They have cameras in all the rooms and play areas. Because the cameras are in a fixed position, you don't always see your dog, but if you call them, they will bring you dog out of a corner or out from under a chair so you can see them.
The dogs are always with other dogs, except at meal time. They are in living room settings with sofas and chairs, and they OWN the rooms. Then they are constantly supervised in outdoor areas that even have shallow pools and sprinklers for them to play in.
So many other reasons, I can't begin to list...great prices, EXCELLENT grooming, etc.
Do you and your dog a favor and use these people. The neighborhood isn't all that, but the dogs love them!!!

We have boarded our dog here several times over the past 2 years. This is a very warm, loving place, staffed by dog owners and dog lovers, and very unlike a traditional kennel. This place has rooms for different weight groups of dogs, each furnished like a regular home living room with couches. They have outdoor play areas, a small pool and a fountain. They offer an internet webcam system, accessible by computer or smartphone, with various views of the premises so we can check in periodically and watch our doggie. You can tell that all the dogs are comfortable and happy.
The staff was very accommodating the last time we needed them at the last minute due to a death in the family. They gladly took our dog in and made her feel at home.
The nightly prices are very reasonable considering the level of care. Everything is clean and you can even see the staff tidying up each room daily. They are great people and have earned our trust.

March 19, 2013 was the last date I brought my dog into day care with these folks. I had used them for the same services several times before. The place is in a pretty run-down part of town, the kind of area you would not want to walk around alone at night. They do not allow clients to go back and tour or look at their facilities, claiming that someone got bit by a dog some time ago. Instead, they have a 16-camera system installed so that dog owners can view their pets (when all of the cameras actually work). Although a few of the employees are actually nice and seem to treat the dogs well, the owner and her minions at the front counter are surly and rude in a trailer-trashy way.
When I picked up my little girl on 3/19, a female worker whom I had complained about previously due to her habit of pulling on my little girl's collar to get her to move, decided the moment I arrived to defend her actions. She claimed that my dog had managed to push through a chain link fence a few times, so this was the only way she could corral her. When she brought my dog out for pickup, I asked her whether my little girl was okay, and her response was and quot;She's still breathing, isn't she?and quot; Way out of line, and just an insensitive, gratuitous comment. At that point, I decided NEVER to bring her back to this place again. I voiced my dissatisfaction to another employee the following morning, but never did hear back from the owner.

Just Like Home Doggie Hotel and Grooming was great. They were just very attentive. They seemed very eager and they were just overall good.
