Odd things started happening almost immediately (materials supposedly mis-shipped to his house the first time, to a California job site the second, not enough rock & sand delivered, had to order more, would only work 4-5 hours a day, etc.). But the work was progressing, albeit slowly, and I was paying for the materials as needed.     When pressed about the materials that had not shown up he said the distributor had to bring them up from CA the next time he had a truck going down there. After the final payment for materials he told me that all the materials that were shipped to his house were used and the rest of the stuff was on its way. I had paid for enough pavers and block to finish this project and still have almost 2 more pallets of pavers and block for future projects! Also paid $1500.00 for 4 rolls heavy landscape fabric for my side yard (which I never got).    I was getting suspicious about all the 'stories' I was getting so I went out and counted all the pavers, blocks, etc. that were supposed to be from the first order (supposedly shipped to his house). I found that I had actually only received about half  of the first order. When he showed up on the day the rest of the stuff was to be delivered to my house he said that they delivered it to his house again. I said "Let's go get a U-Haul and a couple guys and get it all over here". Then he said his distributor ran off with the money and he didn't want me to freak out so that's why he told me it was at his house. He said he'd finish the job and actually came back with a couple small loads of stuff, but then stopped. Hasn't returned phone calls, and I haven't heard from him for over a month now.    Apparently this is a career move for him, I found this after the S.H.T.F. (still same address associated with phone number), http://www.ripoffreport.com/landscaping/jeff-moates-ultrgree/jeff-moates-ultrgreen-landsc-3fa79.htm    I'm now left with 2 - half finished patios, 2 - 1/3 finished retaining walls, half finished sod, and sprinklers with a bad zone, and the prospect of having to buy materials to finish the job I've already paid for. Only got about 1/3 - 1/2 the materials I paid for total. At least I didn't pay him in cash so we'll let the lawyers handle it (about $16K, Felony Fraud I believe).

He was able to analyze the problem and fix it easily. He was very knowledgeable, competent, and professional. He did a good job.
