Letter sent to JC Penney corporate:
I have several complaints about a transaction. I ordered my son a wool jacket, apx $75.00 from JCP.com on December 3, 2014 as a Christmas gift. It was too large. Today he took it back to the store at 4485 S Grand Canyon Pkwy, Las Vegas Nevada to obtain a store credit. He had the receipt which I had received when the coat was delivered. The store refused to give him a store credit. They insisted on crediting my credit card, and said this was "store policy". Upon hearing this I called JCP.com to complain. They said this was not store policy, that probably no one in the department knew how to do a store credit on an online return. They told me to call the store manager. I proceeded to try to reach the store manager. She was not in today, so I spoke with a "floor manager". Before I even started to explain my complaint, he said "what is the problem, HON?" This made me even more angry. I explained to him that I am a 63 year old grandmother of six and that I now had another complaint about how he was addressing me and not to do it again. He said nothing in reply. I proceeded to explain my complaint and he said there was a way to give store credit on an online purchase, but it was a "special procedure". He told me to call the store manager back on Monday, and then called me "HON" again! Seriously?? So, let me summarize this: 1. Major chain store refuses to give store credit for a gift with a receipt because they do not know how to do it 2. Call JCP.com-not "their fault" have to call store 3. Called store, reached rude employee who not only does not apologize for offending someone but does it a second time. 4. Told now I have to call back again on Monday when store manager is there, but he will leave a note on her desk. So I have to try to call during my workday to issue a complaint? 5. Have to wait for the credit to my credit card to give my son cash to buy his gift.Really? This is how you do business? Once I ordered online (several items besides this) for some Christmas gifts you hounded me via email to purchase more online..."time is running out!" "Additional discounts!" etc. I will never buy online from JC Penney again. Your store personnel is not even trained how to do their job, or how to treat your customers! You do not even honor the return policy which is on the receipt!

My stylist is Lorena. I recommend her. She does a great job cutting my hair. She's pleasant and is on time. She makes suggestions on how to keep my hair healthy.
