They are pretty reasonable and honest. They are a long time company here in Las Vegas. We have been happy with that. They were very nice, did a good job and it was a reasonable price. They called us in advance to tell us that it was due for replacement. We thought it was a little late, but, nonetheless they are keeping track of us. They are pretty frank about what you need to have.

I called Hanson's to have the regular reverse osmosis filters checked/changed.  Was scheduled quickly.   Turned out we needed a new reverse osmosis system since ours was so old.   Was given info on 2 different systems - their plus and minus - and cost of
each.   I was scheduled for a few days later.   Brian arrived exactly on time and explained the new system to my husband and myself as he installed it.   He worked quickly, thoroughly and professionally.   He answered all the questions we had about the new system.  My family has used Hanson's for many years and they continue to provide quick and professional service.   I will continue to use them.

I called Hansen's for a quote on replacing RO membranes and system filters. The technician arrived in the time-frame provided. I was informed when I made the appointment that there was a $75 service charge, even just for an estimate. On the first visit the tech tested my water and individual parts of my system. From his comments it seemed he had not worked on a whole house system before or at least not often. He also was given the incorrect information on what the appointment was for as he did not bring any of the filters or membranes needed. The tech called his supervisor and was very detailed in explaining to him what the system was and what was needed. Since he did not have the right filters/membranes he told me someone would call with an estimate and to schedule a second appointment to perform the actual maintenance. He said I should hear from someone in a few days.
After not hearing anything for about 10 days, I called to inquire about my written estimate and scheduling an appointment. The office staff or someone seemed to have lost my paperwork and had to call me back later. My call was returned and an appointment was scheduled but no estimate was available since the person who makes them was not available.
At the second appointment the same tech arrived on time. He did a great job of explaining to me what he was doing. The odd thing was he did not have the prices for the membranes or filters. His supervisor told me the price over the phone and I relayed the information to the tech. In regards to the technician and the service provided I rate Hansen's an A. The tech really knew his stuff and was exceedingly professional. In terms of price, Hansen's is a B for the $75 service fee. The communication with the office and the lack of a written estimate prior to work starting was disappointing. I would hire them again, however, because of the workmanship.
Response from Hansons Water Treatment
"The whole-house Reverse Osmosis System calls for Merlin Membranes that are special ordered. Unfortunately our (2) phone calls with the pricing were not answered. Our first service call to the residence was to determine the type of system, test the water to determine if membranes were due to be changed and if the carbon tank was functioning. We now have you in our records and can easily relay pricing to you can answer any questions you may have regarding your system. We appreciate you as a new customer"

My 9-year-old GE water softener began spewing some sort of gunk that didn't look like resin beads to me into the toilet tanks. Since I thought that part of my 12-year warranty unit might still be covered, I called GE and they recommended either of two contractors they use to install their softeners.  I checked out both on Angie's and Hansons had the better write-ups.  The technician who came out was Frank.  His diagnosis seemed realistic to me (the resin had broken down) and he quoted a $1600 price to install a new softener.  That sounded a little high, so I asked how much they would charge if I ordered the same GE softener again from Home Depot.  (I knew they ran around $600 there).  Frank quoted $175 plus parts and gave me the quote in writing.  I ordered the softener from Home Depot and then called Hansons and asked that Frank come out to install it.  During the installation, Frank recommended that we use steel-mesh tubing instead of the plastic stuff that comes with the unit.  The two steel-mesh tubes ran $19 each, which I thought was perfectly reasonable.  Frank installed the unit without any problems and reminded me to check for leaks and give him a call if anything turned up.  Nothing has.  Frank was very professional and struck me as a very competent technician.  The charge for the first (diagnostic) visit was $65 with an Angie coupon discount.  The second was exactly as Frank had quoted me, plus the two hoses and tax.  If anybody ever asks me about service on their water softener, I would absolutely recommend giving Hansons a call.

Called them on Monday, the rep was friendly and answered all my questions regarding different water softener options.  I choose the one that best met my needs.  At that point he scheduled an appointment for Friday at 9:00am.  The install tech called me on Friday morning to let me know he was on his way.  He arrived just after 9:00am.  I showed him the existing water softener and plumbing and he promptly went to work.  By 10:00 he was done.  The area were he worked was left clean and all packaging and old plumbing was removed.  He showed me how to operate the system, explained the features, and collected the payment.  Overall it was a very pleasing experience I would use them again and recommend them for anyone interested in home water treatment systems.

I can't remember what the original water softener cost me.  It was a lot.  They did the work after we rented the place.  They were very helpful and responsive, because I had to do it long distance.  They coordinated with the rental agency I use.  If I think they're going to be expensive, or somebody I don't want to use, I have the rental agency to coordinate.  The company that the agency picked was quite a bit more expensive, so I got Hanson's, and they were about half as much.  When I got them out there, they were on time and quick.  When they came out in January, they did it under warranty with no labor cost.  I would make use of their services in the future if needed.

They specialize in reverse Osmosis systems, which I really like. They are very friendly and easy to deal with. They also give a senior discount and I really appreciate that. They always do a good job and I never have any problems with my system.

Hanson's Spa & Home Center did a great job installing the pumps. They were very hard working and polite. They finished the job in no time, and I have not had any problems since they installed the new pumps. They took the time to explain everything to me, and they stuck with their estimate. I was very confident with their services.
