I took my laptop in for repair. They charged $100 to evaluate and apply to repairs. That sounded expensive but OK at the time. I went to pick it up. They told me it was not repairable but still cost me the $100. The machine had not even been opened up. I asked to speak to the tech and they said I could not. I was very unpleasantly surprised.

I hired Friendly Computers, located on 6441 N Durango, to install a wireless network in my home. They supplied a wireless modem and connected it to my home computers, printers and security system. The technician installed everything quickly and without any problems. He was very courteous and professional. I was given an accurate estimate over the phone before the technician was scheduled.

arrived, was Joe M. The minute that Joe arrived I felt totally secure with this person in my home. Great customer service person!
Exuded superior knowledge of his profession. Engaging and yet all business. He even graciously put up with my 3 quite affectionate,
over exuberant dogs! I just can't say enough about their company and staff! If Tom's customer service skills don't sell you over the

I walked in, explained my problem and they immediately went to work diagnosing the problem. They had to reboot the menu. Within 10 minutes, my laptop was fixed.
What is incredible is how nice, knowledge and courteous to me. They never made me feel stupid. Even more incredible -- there was no charge. It was considered diagnostic. I love this company.

When I took my laptop in th first time, Tom only cleaned the dust out of it. I had stated that the left rear fan had quit working and the laptop was shutting itself down, presumably because it was overheating. He felt the dust had built up enough to stop the fan. But it continued to shut itself down, so I decided to change out the cooling fans. I'm happy to say there was no additional labor charge as the original complaint was still on the floor. I had to order the fans myself because I could only find them via Hong Kong, and Friendly Comps will only purchase American parts. Which I appreciate as a good thing, if there was an American part to be had.
Still, my laptop is difficult to take apart, and easily damaged in the process, so it was worth the $200 to get it done right.

Joe was on time. He immediately determined the source of my problem but also checked my internet speed, just in case. He then installed Norton, at my request, after removing McAfee. He showed me how to easily back up my important files and was able to sell me a flash drive for that purpose.
Before leaving, he had a checklist of stuff to perform to make sure it all worked ... including rebooting twice, re-establishing my favorites bar, confirmed video and audio, confirmed internet access and even confirmed that printing occurred as it should.
Best computer guy I've ever had. Big thumbs up.

Brought my lap top in on July 12th with what I thought would be a hard drive replacement. Rep thought so also but would have to run tests. Said it would take a couple of days to get to it. I checked back after three days was told tests were being run. Checked next day and was told would have to test the drive outside of the computer as it was freezing up when trying to test it in the laptop. When I dropped it off I told him that that was what I experienced when I ran the diagnostic tool installed on the laptop. Approximately six days later get the call that the drive is bad. Discussed options and told him I would get back to him. Called next day to go ahead with replacing hard drive. Got a call a couple of days later that new hard drive had 2 bad sectors and would have to order another one. Was away on vacation during this so thought I'd be set when I got back. Not hearing anything when I returned 5 days later stopped in the store to check on progress. Was told would most likely be ready later in the day. It was but wasn't able to pick it up until next day. When got it home proceeded with what I knew would be necessary re installs. Found I could hardly do anything as they had set it up requiring a password to get my permission to proceed. When I dropped off the computer I was asked if a password was needed to which I said no. Bottom line was I had to return to the shop to have them readjust it so I could use it as I had left it. I had brought in my recovery disc which had been asked for. Discovered that they never used it, that they had used another recovery utility. They also installed a couple of programs which they thought were better than the ones I had. I was not asked if I wanted them. My disappointment was with the length of time it took and the computer not being returned in a state that I was able to begin using it as I should have been able to.

I went to the store where Bob helped me. I was sure they were going to tell me that my computer or battery was dead. Bob looked at my laptop and quickly showed me how to unlock the power button. He also told me that my battery was low, but just to recharge it. I offered to pay a service call, but he said the service was on the house He went on to double check the settings on my computer and make a few recommendations.. I can't tell you how impressed I am. Without a doubt, I will never take my computers to anyone else. You can trust Friendly to do good work at a reasonable rate.

The tech was as young as a grandchild but very knowledgeable on my Dell XPS 210 getting rid of all the bad stuff. He was very interested in my old Gateway 2000. Treated it like a relic but got it running also. I was very impressed with Konstantin, my tech. Feel free to use their services and ask for Konstantin.
