I had an excellent experience with this company. Sid was my primary contact and he was fantastic! I really don't understand the other low reviews this company has received.
I never met the installers as I was out of town but when I saw the finished job I was blown away. I had  24x24 tile laid on the diagonal through the entire house, including closets, and there is not one grout seam that I have found that is out of alignment. The entire house looks perfect. I'm especially impressed that they continued the care into the closets to maintain the perfection.
I had all the old ceramic tile ripped out, which is a huge, messy, dusty job along with a bunch of ugly 90's cream colored carpet. They hauled all this junk away as well as the old baseboards that I did not plan to re-use. And they left behind a very clean result - a bit of old tile dust here and there but nothing that's going to require more than light cleaning to remove. I am very impressed.
There were no hidden charges or surprises on the final cost. Sid was a total professional and maintained excellent contact throughout.

They were great. The salesman was very nice. He said the insurance company was paying for everything so he selected from the highest price for my bathroom. They do good work.

The salesperson literally met us at the door when we arrived at the home in Las Vegas on Saturday morning, June 23, 2012.  He offered the following; he had not sent pictures as he wanted us to be surprised, we would be surprised, the floor was definitely different than the sample, and the tile in fact had a slight bowing and could not be laid with a 1/16" grout line. When concerns were expressed, he implied a lien would be placed if the second half was not forthcoming.  In fact, the tile was precisely installed, it was simply a traditional grout spacing, the wrong color (brown), tone, and with a strong pattern.  When I went to the store on the following Monday to retieve the sample, the manager stated the tile was not rectified (they called the manufactuer), could not be installed as promised and we would have to talk with the salesperson.  The salesperson arrived to following day to retrive the sample and indicated they would be challenging the manufacturer "to seek compensation for us", and he would return the tile when he contacted us the following day.  No contact was made until the day after when a woman called (later identified by the manager as "the enforcer"), said we would be dealing with her, and of course, the manufacturer ruled the difference between the their sample and the floor was within industry standards for variance. Multiple efforts were made to negotiate, we were offered a "take it or leave it" 8% deduction, threatened repeatedly with a lien against the house when a stop payment was placed on the check, and in my opinion, placated, bullied and ultimately advised, "times are tough, we can't and the manufactuer can't afford to do anything."  The manager was invited to the home to view the job but said it wouldn't make any difference, our problem was with the manufacturer, we needed to seek resolution from them.  We have since been told, the same manufacturer misinformed them, the tile was rectified.  It should be noted, when the tile sample was again removed from Flooring American, we were told we could keep it as the manufacturer would be replacing that particular sample.  Flooring American has full payment, I have a floor I didn't want and don't like.  The manager was clear, they need only honor the written contract , verbal promises of 100% satisfaction....it sounded good.-KM

After extensive searching in stores and on line for the look I had in mind, I walked into Flooring America and managed to find the perfect wood laminate right off the bat. Lucky for me, it was also a store brand, so availability and pricing were better than many other options. To ensure it was really what I wanted, the sales rep., Ken, helped me pick out a few other similar options and brought them all to my house to see how they looked against my cabinets and with my lighting. I was anxious to have the job completed by a certain date and was assured it could be done. Since they use their own installers rather than subbing it out, they can control quality and scheduling better. The installer who did the work spent long hours over about three days and got it done perfectly. After he had completed half of the living room, I pointed out that the tile in front of the fireplace was supposed to come out. He took up the floor and made sure the job was done right rather than trying to patch in the extra spot. I've received many compliments on my new floor and would highly recommend them to anyone. Although there are certainly cheaper places out there, I have no regrets.

They were very responsive when we called them and they showed up on time. There was a couple of things I was unhappy with. We didn't get the same tile that we ordered, it came in with the wrong size. So we had to change the tile that we picked. Also I was told that the workers that would be doing the job would be employees of them and they do security checks. I was concerned about security with my home. It did not end up that way. The people who did the work were subcontracted in. I will say that they do bend over backwards to make you happy. They came out a few times to make everything right.

We were looking at several stores for replacement carpet. We could not find any we really liked. We wanted a company that had its own installers. We went into The Flooring Center and quickly found the carpet we liked. We did not want any seams, so we needed a 15 foot width. An estimator came out to measure the area. The living room and dining area are separated by tile. The estimator told us that because we wanted no seams and the 15 foot width that we would have a large piece left over. We asked him if they could do the bedroom, and he measured. It was a perfect fit. The installers were excellent. They quickly removed the old carpet and swept up the slab. They installed the new carpet and we could not be more pleased. The curves in the living room we were concerned about were perfect. They cleaned up everything and hauled away the old carpet.

We had an extremely mixed experience with The Flooring Company. On the one hand, the sales associate we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable and very polite. On the other, the store manager was arrogant and rude and reminded us very much of the stereotypical car salesman - pushy, aggressive and out to squeeze the last buck out of you - ie, the opposite of class. Despite our misgivings about this manager and against our better judgment we hired the Flooring Center to do our flooring. All in all, the work itself turned out fine - there were a few hiccups here and there regarding installation and product delays, but they were resolved quickly by our ever helpful sales rep. Given the plethora of choices out there, particularly in the current buyer's market, however, I would avoid the Flooring Center. Why support a company that has such deplorable management when you have so many companies out there who want your business? In the future, I will bring my business to Home Depot.

Flooring Center did a great job on my flooring. The crew wasted no time in putting in six rooms of oak wood flooring. They were fast and it looks good. The salesmen and the workmen were very courteous. The price was high but we are satisfied with their service.

Flooring Center was very easy to work with in scheduling and all the specifics about the carpet. We really got what we were looking for in a carpet from this company. They got the carpet laid perfect and in a timely manner and we haven't had any problems with the pad or carpets. We received good quality carpets.

Flooring Center did a beautiful job on our bathroom floor, as the corners were carefully cut and the grout lines were even. They used high quality products and it shows. We were pleased that it only took about three hours to finish installing our tile.
