I called the vendor mid-April and described what we needed.
He told me the price, and a few days later, we got approval from the
owner. I emailed the vendor on 4-22 the pertinent info including
address, what the home inspector found, and stated that the reason we
needed them was because we were advised a structural engineer was needed
to determine if the cracked concrete indicated there was a foundation
issue.
Two days later, I called the vendor, and his wife told me they would be there that Sunday. I contacted the vendor all that week to find out if he had the report yet. I kept getting told it would be ready that day at 1:00. Finally on 5-2 we got the report, and the vendor didn't even go inside the house to look at the concrete. He said because I used the word "foundation" instead of "slab," they didn't go inside which is ludicrous because I told them the concrete under the carpet prompted us to call him. They returned and finally submitted the report to us on 5-8.

He only charged us for the field investigation, damage assessment, and repair recommendation for the existing building. He explained that a design report of the repair/reinforcing of the slab, would cost $500.00. He then explained we did not a need a design report of the repair/reinforcing of the foundation slab. I liked Falvio because he did not try to fool us just to get more money for a design report that was not necessary.

He's excellent. His rates are excellent. He does timely work; he doesn't drag things out. He works well with our county, which is important also.
