Detail Painting

I wish working with all vendors were as smooth as it was with Detail Painting!  The paid a lot of attention to detail when building their quote to not miss anything or have any surprise costs.  Everything was done promptly, efficiently, and professionally.  They were extremely cautious with protecting our belongings.  They got the work done in the time they said the would do it, despite it being a little bit of a compressed timeline.  The end result is beautiful and, even a year later, I have not found any mistakes or misses.  They're also nice people, very courteous and easy to deal with.  I highly recommend this company!

Bryan Johnston and Detail Painting were referred to us by a family friend with high praise. Needless to say, we were certainly impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail. Our color scheme included four different colors (three for the house and one for the cinder block wall). On the first day they power washed the entire exterior and scraped the old paint from the trim. The remaining three days they completed the paint work. Not only did they use power sprayers, but they also back-brushed/rolled the entire home to ensure a quality and long-lasting finish. Needless to say, they did an outstanding job.

Service was great! Careful attention was paid to protecting the areas not to be painted. We provided the colors for the ceilings and walls that we were considering. Detail painting then mixed up three color matches for us and painted samples on the walls for us to choose from at no additional cost. We had the ceilings, walls, and interior doors and baseboards of our 2700 square foot home painted. Very happy with the results.

Estimate and scheduling timeline went smoothly. The attention to detail and the paint quality was poor. We have places that the paint is already peeling, drip marks, on trim board , blobs and small areas that were missed altogether. The owner complained that he did not make a dime on this job when we pointed out the problems. He was, however, the same person that provided the initial estimate which we did not question or barter, paying his requested amount in full.

The project was easy, breezy from the first meeting to completion. Cathy is very talented and great with color choices, I went with all she suggested and the house is beautiful. Everything went as scheduled and her crew is meticulous. I loved working with her very much. I plan to contract with her for outside painting when the weather is cooler. GREAT JOB TO HER AND HER CREW!

Before starting the interior, Cathy painted sample swatches on the ceiling and walls (including accent color) in order to be sure we would be satisfied with the result. Her crew covered all furniture and floor covering with plastic film so we would have no problems with paint spills. It was necessary for us to stay outside of the home for a couple days while they painted. The interior took about 3 days and the exterior 2 days. Results are fabulous. Our neighbors and friends all rave about the quality of work done.

She is very creative and came with many great ideas. She uses quality products and presents herself in a professional manner.

I hired Detailed Painting and Cathy Johnston to make my dreams come true. I did not want to lift a brush or roller. We discussed colors, accents just everything. I wanted color and she and her staff did just that. She explained what she was going to do and said leave it to me. I did just that and did not return to my home until it was done. I got the call the house was done I opened the door and found the most perfect paint job I had ever seen. Everything was done to perfection and not one drop of paint was found on any of my new floors or anywhere that is wasn't supposed to be. If you need painting or any specialty work done Detailed Painting (Cathy Johnston) and her staff are the ones to pick. You won't be sorry.

I wanted my house painted before moving in to make it easier on everyone. I contacted Cathy and she came out in a couple of days to give me an estimate. We ended up choosing a total of 10 colors for the walls, which was main colors and accents, and just swiss coffee color for the rest of the painting. I was quite impressed with the work especially since we have some two story high walls, stairs, and 5 bathrooms. Everything came out exactly the way I wanted and looks fantastic! Cathy and her crew were not only on time everyday but early and were very professional. The price changed slightly from the estimate due to some obstacles that arose once the work was started. I originally was not going to have the doors painted but upon closer inspection I realized it was neccesary. There was also some nicotine damage that was not seen during the estimate because it was covered by the previous owners furniture. All of these extras were handled with no problems. I would definitely hire Cathy and Detail Painting again!

From start to finish...Cathy was TERRIFIC.....she came not only reccomended on Angies List but also with Gary from Gary Adams Interiors...who is also an Angies List provider...and also assisted me with my residence and I did wite a review for him as well...sorry Cathy it has taken me some time to do one for you...I never seem to have enough hours in a day!...

I had just purchased a new home and the exterior paint was absolutely atrocious! I did a lot of looking around on the internet and ran across Detail Painting and called them out for a free estimate. Unlike all the other painters I had called, Ted (owner) seemed genuinely thrilled to come out and give me a quote. He knew, on the spot, exactly what it was going to cost to paint my house and also was a wealth of information about what the best options for my house would be, but didn't act like he was trying to sell me on something that I didn't need. The price was right, so I called him back a few weeks later asked when he could start painting. The next day a crew was at my house power washing and prepping to paint. Two days later it was all finished and it looks amazing. I love it! Couldn't have asked for a more talented group of painting professionals to work on my property. I will be calling them for anything I ever need in the future as far a paint goes!

Our process started almost a year ago. Summerlin South would not approve the colors that our subdivision provided. They needed numbers that did not make any sense. Cathy did her homework, helped me to get the numbers and worked through the issues. A year later, we finally got the house painted. They are no pressure, no stress type of people and called to check in a few times, but NEVER harassed us. After some final things Summerlin asked for, we got that to them and the plan was approved. They were out within a few days and finished the job in a few days. It looks awesome!

Kathy and her crew did a great job of painting. We had the interior of the whole house painted and they did a beautiful job and paid attention to detail. They cleaned up wonderfully and were reasonably priced.

Outstanding !!!! Kathy and her crew were prompt, and as the company name says "Detail" orientied. This was the best experience that I have had with a painting contractor. If you want quality work at a competitive price this is the company to contact, you will not be happier with either the crew or the work reguardless of the price.

Just like the name of her company " DETAIL PAINTING"...she was deffinetley detail oriented... not once did I have to say...oh Cathy did you see this..or can you fix that....it was like having Picasso himself in my home...I will be for ever greatfull for the wonderful experience using her and I certainly will use her and highly reccomend her to anyone in need of not only an incredible painter but an incredible, reliable and honest person...once again Thanks Cathy!!!
