Desert Landscapes of Las Vegas

It didn't go well at all. I told Larry when he came that I didn't like trees, and to give me plants that would not turn into trees. I took two branches from two of the plants to a nursery to see what they were and if they would turn into trees, and they told me that one of them would turn into a tree. So, now I have to have this tree removed. I have terrible allergies and I had already paid to have several trees in my yard removed. He must not have put down the covering before putting down the rocks because grass is always growing up in between the rocks. He was supposed adjust my sprinkler system so the water wouldn't come on automatically and he didn't. When I called the number he gave me to discuss my complaints, he never answered.

His price was reasonable, and the quality of his work was good. He has even come out the same day when I had a problem with a dying tree and assessed it for me. I have referred him to other people.

Got service provider from Angies list - called and got "Larry Smithson". "Larry" came over, promised the moon, but sent a Latino he said was his best worker and had been with him for five years. Turns out the "worker" spoke little English and proceeded to chop everything up. I called "Larry" and asked him to come over because I upset about the work, or lack thereof. "Larry" came over with his children tow, said what a bad job his worker had done and that he personally would come over and trim the palm tree and 2 other decorative trees and address the sprinkler system and that was all included in the $75.00 I paid. A half hour before his scheduled arrival time, "Larry" called to say his friend hadn't shown up to help him trim the palm, and he, "Larry" was going on vacation and would have to take care of it when he got back. That was last week. This week he refuses to return my phone calls. Turns out "Larry" has a full-time day job, has no business cards, knows little of this line of work; his "worker" had done only two jobs for him previously and his wife told him to charge $75.00. I got this person from Angies List with an "A" rating,and "Larry" said he gets all kinds of referrals from Angie's List, and has been on the List for about 7 years. Please do everyone who checks Angie's List a favor and either get an accurate assessment - read F minus - of this guy who is running around using Angie's List as a shield for scamming people.

Larry arrived with another worker at the agreed time, and began work immediately. We had done an extensive walk-through prior to the work order, so everything was clear. In many cases, Larry had made recommendations regarding plants, etc. which were much appreciated. Although the job took a little longer than originally quoted, they were finished the same day, and had everything cleaned up and looking great. He also quoted us a price for regular maintenance.

Job 1: Went well. Here when they said they would be. Work not finished on first day so they came back the next day and finished. Job 2: I must judge this company on the beautiful work that they did and not the part about the one guy s wife. He brought her along and she actually argued with me about the bushes but anyhow he cleared it up and continued to do what he was supposed to do. They did a beautiful job and I am very pleased. I have a huge back yard and they did just wonderful. I just hope they never bring her again. This was a one time fee. Being my backyard is so huge, it cost a little more than ordinary yards would have.

He even took the time to go with me to the nursery and he helped me pick out plants. They had the job completed within one day and everything looks great. I thought they were friendly and easy to work with.

Desert Landscape Maintenance was on time, consistent, and did a very good job. They took care of the extra requests without any hassle. The only problem that I have with them is that some of the employees don't speak English, so I have a hard time communicating with them.

Desert Landscape Maintenance did a wonderful job on our yard. I was a little bit unsure about having this done but they were able to get our yard looking great. Thy installed a combination of big rocks and small rocks and the way they put them looks great. These people did a lot of work in a reasonable amount of time.
