The first thing that he did was lift the granite off the island and replace the wood beneath. However, he used the wrong width. When he put the granite back on top, the counter top did not reach the back-splash. Now there is a huge and unsightly gap that is between the counter and the back-splash.

Further, the paneling on the island had been damaged, and he was supposed to replace the panel that had water damage. He said that he was going to stain a piece of wood to match the island, but that was never done. He took my money and never returned.

I've called him numerous times, but he won't return my calls. I'm very dissatisfied and upset.

McCallum Enterprise, LLC., you are calling David McCallum directly and personally--it's one-on-one between you and him. Mr. McCallum is an honest, pleasant, straight-talking individual. Once a contract is signed between the home owner and David J. McCallum for a home improvement job, Mr. McCallum's desire is to complete the work expeditiously but in a manner satisfactory to the home owner and then move on to his next job. He doesn't advertise—and he doesn't have to. The quality of his work is advertisement enough. And, word of mouth endorsements from satisfied home owners keep new home improvement projects coming his way. My wife and I value and respect Mr. McCallum's professional judgment. The door looks beautiful. He cleaned up after himself when he was done. I would use him again in the future for other jobs.

I called David and we set up an appointment for an estimate at 7:00am on a Sunday and he was there at 6:45am! After receiving his very reasonable estimate, I immediately hired him to start work. He did everything from start to finish, from floor to ceiling. The project was coming along so nicely that I had people interested in renting/buying it before it was complete. When the property was finished, all of my neighbors who looked at it inside and out were absolutely amazed at the transformation. He also saved me tons of money by connecting me to discount retailers and passed his savings onto me! I couldn't have hired a better contractor! He was clean, efficient, courteous and treated my property like it was his home. I definitely will be using David again for all of my upcoming projects, I just wish there was a way to clone this guy.
