Custom Outdoor Living

Coustom Outdoor living did an excellent job on my project. We had a good idea of what we wanted when we first started searching for contractors. Josh did a good job of helping us fine tune our design to achieve the best outcome. We shopped two other contractors and found that Custom Outdoor Living’s prices are competitive. And, after talking to and dealing with Josh a few times we felt very comfortable with him and this business. The work started on time and I watched much of the building process. The crew is very detail oriented making sure that everything is level, square and plumb. Everyday they cleaned up the job site before they left and all the workers were friendly and treated us with respect. The project finished on time and on budget. I don’t recall having any problems during the project. The finished product is excellent with significant attention to detail. I would definitely use them again and I’ll recommend them to my family and friends.

We were very happy with the experience we had with Josh and his team. Josh was great to work with, he listened to our goals and ideas and made many helpful suggestions that made it all come together.  From design, installation to completion he was always responsive to our questions and his installation teams were polite and professional and did a great job bringing our backyard remodel together.  

We hired Josh to design and build our living space outdoors. From patio cover to bbq - and it turned out amazing. The project took about 4 weeks given the time of year. Josh is professional, cares about his clients, and stands by his work. His outsourced partners also had the same level of care and concern for the client's happiness. As with all projects of this size, there were a few snags here and there - to be expected. What I appreciated was their ability to resolve those, be responsive (text/call/meeting), and make sure in the end everything was excellent. We met with a bunch of landscape design teams and we were very happy we went with Custom Outdoor Living! Pricing was also transparent and itemized - very nice to have when sticking to a budget. He was helpful in managing costs and getting us what was needed for the HOAs.

It went great, from the initial consultation to the finished product everything went wonderfully! Hope to use again when I purchase my next home!

We needed 200+ square feet of stone installed directly over the stucco on our posts.  Josh came out 6 weeks earlier to give us an estimate, and then updated his estimated once we picked out the natural stone at Arizona Stone in Las Vegas.  He told me from day 1 that if you choose a natural stone (versus synthetic/manufactured), cost for materials & labor would come to around $25/sf.  That is exactly the estimate he delivered.

After our HOA approved the project, Josh and his team came out 3 weeks later and did the job in 2 days.

The stone came out amazing.  Comments from my neighbors have been "those posts are beyond beautiful....simply spectacular."  To give you an idea of how serious Josh takes his business, he matched the grout nearly exactly to the color of our stone.  Most outdoor grout in Las Vegas is either brown or gray, but Josh gets his grout from a unique vendor that allows you to select the color of the grout from over 50 different colors.

Will definitely use Josh and his team again, perhaps for a backyard fireplace project we are considering in 2016.
