The big plus about CPR is they always answer the phone and always show up when they said they would, unlike every other pool service company we contacted. The pool equipment repairs and replacement were good with only a few minor problems that they later corrected. They gave us a good overview about pool care as this is our first pool.
Where they lost points was the service contract for monthly service. At $95 per month, they were more than most. Yet every time there was an issue, like leaves in the pool or algae starting to form, or dirt blown in, they threatened to charge more when all this should be covered in the monthly fee. They complained about windy days, which is normal in Vegas and should be taken into account. They complained about algae formation, but if they had kept the chemicals up to date there would be none.
Every time they came, they upped the pump speed to maximum so they wouldn't have to vacuum weekly. Even though the pool stays plenty clean at middle speed. They had no regard for our electric bill and always seemed like they were attempting to milk us for more money.
Its too bad because if they applied themselves and did a good weekly service we would be using them.

Response from CPR - Complete Pool Repair
"anyone who's actually lived in las vegas more than a few weeks knows this is the worst winds we've had in decades. there was no complaints- merely a statement of the facts. i asked to leave the system on high speed until the water body cleared. every time i came back you changed the setting. if you had taken suggestions of the professional you paid you'd have reallized than there wouldnt have been the need to continually change the speed of your VS pump. also- anyone who has had a pool in 110 degree weather for four month periods in high wind conditions knows its practically impossible to put enough chlorine in the water basin without burning the people trying to use it. nevada state health code law requires a certain amount of gallons per minute turnover to achieve proper chem balance. if you have a lot of dirt from high winds, its critical to maintain a higher turnover rate- especially in consistent high heat. ive worked for the health dept, run four of my own successful pool and spa service, building, and repair companies. ive run a 37 man repair division for one of the largest repair and service pool companies in the world, I taught CPO certified state pool operators licensing school. for 28 years dozens of other pool professionals have called me for advice. Jackie- i absolutely care about your power bill. but even more- i care about yours and ricks health. i told you from the beginning; we do whats necessary to maintain the pools balance and safety- primarily. then we concentrate on asthetics. your pool was vaced every time it needed it. and you had bids based on having a funtional sweep. remember- you get what you pay for. and we backed our work. i wouldnt have been successful for 28 years and able to put my son in med school if i wasnt consistently professional in the eyes of my clients. im sorry you feel the way do. id be happy to work with you to ensure a beautiful and safe pool. im at your disposal. marcel mirassou, proprietor of CPR"
