I hired Clear Water Pool Service starting April 2021, 1/week. I should have known out of the gate that it was a mistake. On that day I had a blue pool with leaves from recent winds The agreement started with a request that I pay an extra $60 because my chemicals were low. Okay. I could handle that. It was further agreed I would pay $120/month for Tuesday service. That was on 4/5/21, first service on 4/6/21. I paid $180 on 4/5/21. The first service was fine and I sent a msg thanking them. But even before my next service on 4/13/21, my water was turning green and murky. Granted lots of things could cause that but with proper care the chemicals, and my really good vacuum it should have been easy to clear up. And by 4/20/21 the water was blue again, YAY! But that was not going to last. It started with the complaints. Complaints about how they were spending too much time on my pool, that it should be done in 15 minutes. Complaints that they were wasting chemicals. Let us not forget the equipment My pump was a problem, it was not running properly and could burn out the motor. Okay, I am a new homeowner with insurance so I called Old Republic to send someone to address the problem, another $75. I explained the situation as best I could and was told by the attending pros, Emerald Pools, that they believed it all would work if a skimmer basket was inserted and the pump was turned on. Additionally, a leak in the chlorinator line was observed, something else that did not exist a week earlier. (Oddly the skimmer basket had been removed for no reason.) I asked for an email and shared the unedited version with Corey who immediately called balking at Emerald comments. I really have no idea why Corey chose to do what he did, I assumed there was a good reason. But I am really confused that Corey deliberately removed my good, working vacuum from my pool, the one thing that could have helped. He disconnected the hose and filter basket and left it all neatly coiled on my patio. When I questioned him about putting it back together and getting it running again, I was ignored. On 4/27/21 Gregory put the vacuum back in the pool, it appeared to be running when I pulled it from the murky dark green water, but the filter basket was still on the patio and the vacuum just sat on the bottom of the pool motionless. I asked about the chemicals he was paid to add but had not. I was ignored, So now I am sitting here with a pool in a critical state largely caused by Clear Water Pool Service and In need of a new service A.S.A.P! Yes, the pump is running. But the leak is still there and still, no skimmer basket and the vacuum is literally dead in the water. The situation was critical. ClearWater Pool saw it and walked away without anything signaling they had it under control. I called Corey a couple of times while Gregory was there to discuss my concerns., but Gregory left with things in disarray so again I called Corey. He was to see if Gregory could come back to fix the vacuum and he, Corey, would call back in an hour. None of that has happened and it is now after 8:00p the next day. I sent more msgs during these chats, all to no avail. It was surprising if I was acknowledged at all. But then out of the blue, I got this msg: Hello, sorry for the late response. Omar said we can do the drain and acid wash at a cost which is $250. We are currently charging 450-550 for this service. This will include drain, pressure wash, acid wash, filter clean, filling the pool, and adding start-up chemicals. Hmmm...still nothing about the vacuum. Nothing about the cause. Nothing to even suggest we had previously discussed this as an option. Do I need to start over? Probably yes at this point. It will easily cost $1,000 to fix the mess they made. I have nothing but regret for hiring Clear Water Pool Service.
