I didn't like them. He came out once and was here for a while and still never got it fixed. He was here for 3-4 hours and charged $400. He tried to figure out what was wrong with it. He finally got the fan working then he was just up and down and saying something about the compressor, but never got it working. The compressor wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't broken. He wasn't as knowledgeable as others. He was nice, friendly and polite, but he kept up and down and back and forth -- he just couldn't figure out what was going on. They need to not charge so much when nothing was done if you're going to make sure it's fixed. They need to give their people more training. He wasn't unprofessional or rude; I just don't think he knew as much as he should. He did know some things because there was something wrong with the compressor, just not at that time.

Although in the end, Marie (owner) performed above and beyond.....I did have a bad first experience. Here is what happened... I called on a Friday morning around 7 am because my heat would not go on. My call was returned promptly by Marie. She sent one of her technicians to my house within 3 hrs. I told Marie I had a coupon which said 20% off repairs, she said fine. I asked her to tell the tech, she said she would. He fixed the unit, or so he though in about 10 minutes. |When I asked the tech if he was told about the coupon, he replied, no. I told him about it, he told me they have lots of coupons. Really? He told me that the coupon was only good for parts. We argued a bit.. and I let it go. On Sunday morning, 6 am....I awoke to NO HEAT! The same problem! I called Marie at 6:45 am...and again she promptly returned my call. She had a service guy in my area, and she would be in contact with him. At 9 am, Brandon arrived...he looked at the unit.. and took pictures of the problem. He told me there was condensation from the cold, and a part needed to be replaced. He didn't know if York was open on Sunday, but I would get a call in about 30 minutes. No one called me all day Sunday to say that the parts place was closed. |I called Monday morning around 8:30 am.....spoke with Marie...told her I would be out until 11:30 am. She called back at noon to tell me the part was being transferred thru town and they would have it shortly. Brandon arrived around 2 pm to replace the broken part. I was credited the $80 for the service call, and did receive an additional discount. The A for professionalism is because Marie did to the right thing. Marie did compensate me for my aggravation and having no heat. I wish there was a MAYBE...for would you use this provider in the future. She did try to correct all the issues, I give her A for effort on that.

Scheduled my anual inspection for $69.95. Technition showed up within the sceduled window and performed the inspection.
He showed me pictures of burn marks on the Inducer motor which pumps the Co2 gas out of the roof vent and informed me that the motor was burning out and would probly fail soon. He said I could wait for it to fail or replace it now. I chose replaceing it now.
He called around and then told me that since the York model I had was installed in 2005, it uses what the EPA now considers the and quot;wrongand quot; type of compression gas so York had been forced to discontinue that model making parts hard to find and expensive. He said he had found one place in Las Vegas that had the part iI needed and gave me a quote of $568 for the inspection and to replace the Inducer Assembly. I said go ahead and replace it.
He said it would take him 2 hours to get the part (store on other side of town) and almost exactly 2 hour later he returned. Then he spent about 15 minutes replacing the part and testing the Heater and we were done.
I started using Chill-Rite to do my inspections becasue they were highly rated on Angie's List 7 years ago and they have been very reliable. Normaly for something so expensive I would have called around and gotten several quotes but sometimes it is easyer just to trust that a company is not going to rip you off. Especially if they know that Thier work and thier prices are going to be posted on Angie's List.
So I am not happy with the cost of the repair but am satisfied with the explanation that the high cost was because of the cost of the parts and not any kind of rippoff.

I have been using Chill Rite for over 15 years. They are always prompt and professional. No runaround, no hidden costs, the best in Las Vegas. The owner Chris actually checks all work of his techs and will not cease till the customer is satisfied. When your AC goes out in Vegas in August and he says I'll get out as soon as possible....it is not the next day or the next week. He'll make it happen. They are the best and you get more than what you pay for everytime.

I had recommended this service to my mother after finding this company on Angie's List. I would not recommend any air conditioning company from my own past experience. The serviceman was prompt, courteous, worked neatly and did not make my elderly mother uncomfortable, nor did he try to sell her anything.

Everything has turned out fine. The system is working properly and I have yet to encounter any defaults. I cannot think of anything that they could have done differently. Even the workers were really great. They were very nice and very professional. They knew exactly what they were doing. I kind of followed them around a bit but they didn t seem to mind. They talked to me the whole time and explained what they were doing as they went along.
