Very good vets.

I think the animal clinic gave me a voucher. They were very friendly and they talked to me about him. They spent a lot of time with him. He was just a kitten at that point and he had been fixed, so that was one operation. He had a bunch of shots that they give kittens once they're adopted. He was very tiny and they took a lot of time and were very nice. His eyes were weeping a little and they gave me some drops, and his eyes stopped weeping.

Fortunately my cat is young and fairly healthy. They're a little more expensive than most places but they are good. They are close by. I will use them again when he goes this year for his yearly check up.

My dog was having problems defecating. I went to 2 vets and they gave me different diagnosis, so I needed a 3rd opinion. I went to Cheyenne Animal Hospital and requested for Dr. Lopez because of her reviews.
Dr. Lopez was very personable and it showed how much she adores animals. After 15 mins. she concluded my dog had an enlarged prostate and 2 hernias, and required surgery. She educated me about the medical condition and used a medical book to expand on the details. She called 2 surgeons immediately thereafter and they quoted me $3000+. She said it was a steep price for a minor surgery and would call around.
Her diagnosis was different than the other 2 vets, so I took my dog to a specialist and she agreed with Dr. Lopez diagnosis. This specialist also quoted me $3000+
Dr. Lopez contacted me a couple of days later and said a good friend and surgeon Dr. Mauer, agreed to the surgery and will charge me $1000 less. (See Dr.Mauer review)
While waiting for Capone's surgery appt, she called the next day to check on Capone and advised me she was heading out of town and if I had any emergency issues to call her on her cell. Then she followed up when she came back in town.
On the day of surgery, she called to verify if I had agreed to all of the surgery procedures by Dr. Mauer. After surgery she called to see how Capone was doing and advised me to call her anytime with any issues. She had several nurses call me over the course of a week to be sure Capone was ok. She was patient, informative and gave my dog the attention he deserved.
The office staff is OK.

I really like it here. It's clean and they always do a really good job of following up. He has been here for IV fluids and teeth cleanings they have always kept me informed of what is happening and why it needs to be done.

Always great service! Very gentle and caring with my little ones.

Dr. Hewitt is the best vet I've ever encountered in Las Vegas by far and away. He is outstanding. As an example, my golden retreiver was having episodes of vomitting while we were travelling in other states and we took her to other vet clinics out of state as we were quite concerned. They put him on antibiotics and various other treatments. When we took him to Dr. Hewitt, he simply asked if we were going through a lot of stress, which we were at the time. Dr. Hewitt advised that dogs are so tied into their owners that if their people are upset, the dogs will have physical symptoms including reflexive vomitting. Once we lowered the stress levels in the house, the vomitting spells completely cleared up. He gave this advice at no cost to us and advised if the symptoms continued to bring her back in.

Wow I could get a hot cup of tea and write a novel on these guys . I have used them for over 9 years Dr Hewitt excellent in every way . Dr Lopez the best period , a real skilled caring vet a respectful professional and hard worker . She has always put the time in for my animals I trust her implicitly. I believe she and Dr Hewitt are in the business as they care for animals . I recently went through. a trying time with two back to back surgeries having to be done for one of my dogs she found the right surgeon for me what do you know he was amazing should we be surprised. My dog is doing great the surgeon Dr Mauer TOP NOTCH the real thing . I wish my doctor would spend as much time with me as he did on my dog . He called me every night and morning for two weeks to make sure everything was going correctly and continue care optimum. I refer anyone and everyone I can to them . The office and facilities are so clean and comfortable. Always on time unless their is an emergency which we all understand. The front desk has a stressful job and handles it well. Enough said . I would drive back here if I moved to see them .

The Dr. was awesome. She listened to me and made suggestions for me to use as a guideline. I will come back to them if my cat needs further healthcare.

The vet was just awesome. It was not a situation you want to be in obviously, but she was fantastic. She had been taking care of my dog for a period of time so she knew him and she knew and his personality.; We did some testing and and found out that my dog had a tumor. He was 15 years old and she told me that her professional opinion would be to put him down because he had lot of other issues.; She told me I could let him suffer for another week or two or we can just put him at rest. Her name is Dr. Annette Shaver and she said she could do a lot more procedures and tests but I was never going to have Monet back, he was never going to be the same and he was not going to be around for more than three weeks. It was very comforting that she was being realistic but not harsh.; We made a decision, she was there with me, and it was very peaceful. Just a year before that I had to euthanize my seventeen and a half year old dog and we went through the same thing. I have the greatest respect and regard for Dr. Annette Shaver.; The staff was wonderful too. A couple of years ago Monet was attacked by a dog and was hurt.; The owner of the dog that attacked him made arrangements to pay for the bill and the staff took care of all of that I didn't have to get involved at all, I just took the dog in and had him checked out. .I just don't have any negative things to say about her and the staff.

He spent 5 hours in surgery on her. The staff is amazing, and really cooperative. They were really helpful and kept me updated.

Today, I squirmed thinking, OMG, yesterday you were so sick and now a trip to the Vet and you're looking all perky! Turns out and so reassuring Dr Shaver at Cheyenne West totally got the "looking good," but really not feeling-well fake-out that dogs do. Dr. DeGroff is my go-to and awesome Vet at CWAH, but I had to take first available and delighted to find the quality of care exceptional.

No complaints! Service went as expected, friendly staff, clean facility, will use again.
