California Closets of Las Vegas

California Closet's service and scheduling has been deplorable. They scheduled my installation 5 - 6 weeks ago without alerting me to the date and confirming the date. When I happened to call them to check on scheduling and they shared the date, I said the date wasn't doable because I was closing after that date, they then pushed the date out 25 days. They acknowledged the issue on their side but have refused to take accountability for their mistake. I have spoken to about 4 different people, wasted multi hours, and still not an agreeable alternative has been provided. Don't work with California Closet unless you want to overpay and have them under deliver. BTW, I don't mind overpaying when companies deliver high quality product and service.

WARNING : If your closet is not installed correctly, which ours was not, they DO NOT CARE and JUST WANT THEIR MONEY!! My wife and I met with the designer on 02/06/22, and we each designed our own walk in closet layout. My wife is 5’3” and I am 6’0”; so we had the closet designed with that in mind, with an 88” max heights on my wife’s closet. I was going to do the same, but the designer upsold me on going to 95 inches to add storage space, which I was happy to be able to have. Designs were emailed to us, $11,509.00 total price. We agreed, put 50% down, and set a install date, 03/09/22 - 03/10/22. Our move in date was 03/14/22, so this was perfect. Install took place on time. Unfortunately, the installer did not follow the directions and placed both closets at 90.5”, making my wife’s hang bars too high and mine too low; besides losing the extra storage space I paid extra for. Most of my hand bars would not even house my shirts without dragging them on the carpet. I contacted the company VIA email on 03/10/22 to let them know of the error once I was able to get to the house and inspect the work. The designer came out on 03/13/22 to inspect and measure, and confirmed to us that the installer had incorrectly installed both closet. She apologized multiple times and assured us that the manager would reach out on Monday, 03/14/22; then she would follow up after. NO CONTACT from CA closets on 03/14/22 or 03/15/22! PLUS, I received an invoice for the 50% balance due on 03/15/22 via email with no mention of the issues. I called the designer on 03/15/22 at the end of the day and asked why I was not contacted by management on 03/14/22. She could not answer me. I asked what the next step was. She could not answer me. So all is have are closets which I have now spent HOURS corrected myself to make them functional and a bill for the 50% balance due. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Simone, our designer, drew up a plan that matched our ideas. Juan, the installer, worked diligently and neatly. He cleaned up afterwards. We are very pleased with our new cabinets.

very well, we worked with a junior person who ran everything by the senior consultants and the owner. The owner also called to make sure everything was tracking as expected.

They are so incredibly good. Their price is really worth it.

Looks amazing and the quality is good. My only complaint is that the top racks are so tall I need a step stool to reach them. I'm 5'8". This was really really hard to picture in the renderings. We can move them down but then our clothes will get bunched up. Not the biggest deal but something to be mindful of.

They did a great job. The designer arrived on time and she really listened to what I wanted. She asked great questions, like are these all the clothes that will be going in the closet, she counted all our shoes and made sure how many we had would fit in the design we had. We also had an appt in the design room and that was really helpful to fine tune some of the layouts and design and measurements. Our designer was great to work with and we are very happy with our closet shelves that they installed and months later still fits our needs. We will use them again for other projects.

I called California Closets and set up an appointment for a consultation in my home.  The designer (Dawn) arrived right on time, and she listened attentively as I described what I wanted in each closet.  She took my general ideas, asked me the appropriate questions, took measurements, and began creating the specific designs on her laptop right then.  She was just great; I couldn't have asked for a better designer.  We then made an appointment for me to meet her at the California Closets store so I could approve the final designs and choose hardware and cabinet and drawer front styles.
At the store, she showed me the designs in 3D on her laptop, answered my questions, and allowed me to see possible changes to the designs as we talked.  When the meeting was finished, I could see the final designs (complete with the hardware and cabinet and drawer front styles) so I was sure it was just what I wanted.  We then set up the installation appointment, which was only two weeks after our meeting because none of the components had to be special ordered.
California Closets called a couple of days before the installation to confirm the appointment, and the installers called again when they were on their way on the morning of the appointment.  The two guys got to my home before 8:00 am, laid down tarps all the way from the front door to the bedrooms to protect the carpets, and got right to work.  They removed the previous wire shelving, caulked all the holes, and I think they even textured the patches to match the existing walls.  Dawn had told me to make sure I had some touch-up paint available, and the guys used that to paint over the patches.  Then they brought in all the components and went to work installing everything.
One man worked in one closet, and the other worked in the other closet.  One of the closets was much simpler than the other (it had no drawers or cabinets); so it was done quicker than the other one.  Once it was done, both workers worked together to finish the second closet.  The entire project was finished before 3:00 that afternoon, and the finished product is just beautiful.  I get a little thrill everytime I go into one of the closets.
I was so impressed with the entire California Closets operation.  Everything from start to finish was done with professionalism and efficiency, and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again in the future.

I moved into a new home and compared closet companies before going with
California Closets.  The quality of their product is superior to the
others though the cost is higher.  During the design of my closet,
I was unsure how many shelves I needed.  My designer said, "you don't
have to order everything now, you can add shelves any time after
installation, we keep your design and you can get additional shelves,
even years from now, if you want them for $12 each."  The closet was
installed and I am very happy with how it looks and the quality of the
finished product.  After 6 weeks, I realized I did want 6 more shelves.
 At that time we also considered having California Closets design an
entertainment center for us.  I called my designer and scheduled a
meeting to discuss the entertainment center and tell her about the 6
added shelves I wanted.  At that time, she indicated that the cost could
be more than $12 each, that the $12 was only the price for the initial
project but she would get back to me with the price.  Well, the $12 per
shelf was now almost $30 a shelf.  When I reminded her of what she had
told me during the initial planning, she said, "yes, I remember saying
that but the price has gone up and there is nothing I can do about it."
 I questioned the price rising over 200% in 6 weeks and she said,
"that's what it is".  I decided to forgo the shelves and seek an
entertainment center elsewhere.  I won't do business a second time with a
company that does not stand by their pre-purchase promises, no matter
how good their product.

UPDATE:  Since I wrote my review, I was contacted by Megan, one of the owners of the business.  She apologized for the misunderstanding and offered to provide the shelves I wanted at the price I had been told, $12 each.  Given the apology and the offer to fulfill their promise, I changed my ratings for responsiveness and professionalism and the overall rating.  Any one or any company can make a mistake, it is what is done  to rectify the error that matters.  I think Megan did the right thing and I appreciate her quick response to my complaint.

We enjoyed the entire experience, starting with Megan Huegel, Owner of California Closets coming out to our home to inviting us to their showroom, to Megan helping us to design the space most suitable for our needs to the perfect gentlemen who did the installation with their beautiful work and no mess. California Closets were wonderful to work with. They provided an in-home estimate and a good picture as to what I could expect when the desk was made. They were very receptive to my ideas, questions, and concerns. I would highly recommend this company. The only reason I gave a rating of B for price is because the product is pricey....however that was acceptable in this case because my desk was custom, is good quality, and all of the people I dealt with worked hard to make sure I got what I wanted.

My wife had ideas for a redesign of our guest closet to make it more functional for our needs.
When Renee arrived, she and my wife started sharing ideas. Renee drew up a configuration
on her computer and it was exactly what we wanted. The installer arrived a couple of weeks
later and did an excellent job. 
Renee and the installer were very knowledgeable and professional. We plan to have Renee
return in the near future to redesign our master closet.

Great experience. Renee, our design consultant was wonderful. On time for all appts and professional. They use a computer system which electronically designs the closets so you can see it in 3-D view. This is so helpful when you can visualize what the space will look like. The installer was nice and just quietly went about installing the cabinets. I am extremely happy with the closets and if doing anything inside the home again, would definitely choose them for the best professional design.

Judith worked with us to design the perfect cabinet for our kitchen. Installation went smoothly and we are delighted with the way it looks. It cost a little more than what we are used to paying (the other cabinet shop we have used went out of business) but it was worth it in the long run. We will definitely use them again.

This product isn't cheap, but it is a different (and better) product than the off-the-shelf DIY organizing systems.  The shelving system is designed to completely fit the space so that the look is custom, even and clean.
They started by measuring the space and then did a 3-D CAD drawing with the empty space and a couple of different options for organizing systems.  I came by the showroom, looked at materials, looked at the CAD drawings, picked some options and scheduled the install. 
The install team was on time, professional and had everything done and cleaned up the same day.  The materials they use are heavier duty and higher capacity than the do it yourself products.  Thicker shelving, built in anchoring systems, that kind of thing.
One extra benefit of the custom storage system is that there is more storage than you think you could have in a small space.  The systems completely fill the space so we more than doubled our storage capacity over having bins and shelves that were there before.
This company was first class all the way.  Great to deal with.

Initially it was somewhat hard to get in touch with sales rep, however our rep was very thorough and not pushy. This was a project that the wife must have no exceptions. We placed our order around end of July and just got the product installed this morning. During the scheduling process we had issues with our title company and had to reschedule twice. Previous reviews suggest they work with you in these situations, but had to experience dealing with Larry charging a $200.00 rescheduling fee. After going back and forth for a few days they waived the fee after acknowledging we had been in contact with sales rep the whole time. They also mentioned they had records speaking to us regarding scheduling, but that was not the case as the only communication was with the rep, until we couldn't get ahold of her. Overall, the job is nice, weren't the cheapest contractor of bids we got, but the installers left a great taste in our mouth. These installers worked all day and didn't take a break, which shows dedication to there company. Would probably use again.

Everything went perfectly.  Sales person Renee was punctual, professional and explained options and cost without pressure.  Office called several times to confirm installation dates, etc.  Installers were professional & courteous. They did not rush through the job, demonstrated everything and throughly cleaned up before leaving.
