They are big Toyota and they are busy. I can't say that they are prompt because it takes a long time. Maybe they need to hire some more mechanics because it takes a long time. Everything was fine. They’re professional obviously, they are Toyota. They did the work well, it lasted. Once again, It just took a long time.

The work they performed did not fix the problem. First time at this location. Called the Service Manager and left him a message that the car still was having the same problem. No response from him. Kept calling and leaving various messages, as well as asking for an explanation as to a Miscellaneous Charge for $50 not shown on the invoice. No Response.

The wait time sometimes is long. It was fine. They met my needs. I think they are more expensive than the average car service place.

They are very nice. I had a problem with my part in my car on the dash board and I went on a blog for Toyota and apparently people had that problem. So I worked with the manager there who I think is very nice and has been very helpful and then I worked with a specific person. They both helped me and Toyota helped too. They got it fixed and took a lot of hassling back and forth of  the people in Toyota particularly the corporation. Because of the mix up and just waiting and aggravating about it he gave me a free oil change, so I used it and it didn't cost me a thing. I don't think I had anything done other than that purchase of windshield wiper.

They do a decent job, and they are cheaper than other dealers. We have used them multiple times. I buy my own oil at Walmart, and then I ask them to do an oil change, together with a multi point check, and I find that I save myself a considerable amount of money. They are a nationwide chain of auto dealers, and their prices for new cars are very reasonable. Their prices are reasonable also for repairs. They are as reasonable, or even more so than the non-dealers which are highly rated by Angie's List.

When my car was new, it was really, really cheap to get it serviced. I have a Prius and it was just awesome. Now that the car is older, of course it's more expensive but they are always prompt, they always do what they say, they call and tell you when it's ready, and they'll take you home if you don't have a ride so it's very convenient. I'll certainly recommend it if you have a Toyota. The price doesn't seem expensive. A few years ago, I had an issue. In a Prius, you have a big battery and a little one. The little one that does what all car batteries do like start the car and headlights, it was going dead and I kept not being able to start the car, and it took me 3 trips and my own research to figure out what was wrong so that was very frustrating.  They eventually got that resolved. It was my internet research looking into why that was happening that I found out that probably it was the car battery which they said could be possible, but when they changed the battery out, it did fix the problem. In that case it was terrible, but in all the other cases it had been great. I don't know if they just didn't believe a woman. They said they tested the battery and that it tested that it had to charge, but whatever, it still didn't work. I was stuck here and there, not being able to start my car.

I took my 2006 Avalon for service because I almost had a near death incident on 215 when I made a quick right turn to avoid another vehicle and the car went completely out of control. It began to fishtail violently back and forth about 12 times before it finally got under control. I brought the car in at 8:00 AM on 8/16. The serviceman called me about 10:00 AM and said they didn't find anything specifically that might have caused the car to go out of control. He indicated there might have been substance on the highway that contributed to the fishtailing. Then he told me they discovered a leak in the rack and pinion that needed to be taken care of (cost $1600 and new brake pads (cost $500). I called him back and said my husband and I were going to pick up the car and take it for a second opinion. We took the car to Japanese Auto Repair on Spring Mtn. (found them on Angie's List) and they indicated we needed the repairs but it wasn't urgent , just something to do in the future. Their cost to do the same thing Desert Toyota was going to do was $225 for the new brake pads and $800 for the new rack and pinion. We also took the car to Carl's Cool Car Repair (also found on Angie's list) he agreed with the diagnosis and would charge about the same as Japanese Auto Repair. If you have money to throw away then take your car to Desert Toyota! I have had my car serviced there for the past 7 years. Their customer service is good, they do good work but they charge twice as much as other highly rated auto service businesses in Vegas. I didn't know about Angie's list 7 years ago when I was new to Vegas so I thought it would be safest to go to A Toyota dealer. I will NEVER return to Desert Toyota based on what I know now.

It was free as it was under the car warranty.  It was easy to make an appointment, they took the car on time, they washed the car, the processed it in a timely manner.

They were very personable and offered me a ride home but I elected to stay and wait for the estimate.  An hour later

they returned with an estimate of $1700 which included replacing the flywheel and performing several procedures which I didn't request.  I said I couldn't afford half of that, and that I had guessed it might be between $500 and $700 dollars, but I couldn't afford to have them do the work, so  I paid them for the diagnostic fee ($125) and left.  Later that afternoon I had the truck repaired beautifully at High Tech Transmissions on Decatur and Oakey for only $700.  They resurfaced the existing flywheel and said it cleaned up perfectly.

Met with Mike Corbo regarding a new Prius C whose no-pressure salesmanship allowed us time to consider the car.  Without haggling, Mike offered a price I couldn't refuse.  The paperwork process went very smoothly and our time with the finance manger went quickly.  In the past, we have been at dealerships for up to 6 hours with a lot of down time because the salesperson kept leaving to supposedly talk to their manager. We did not have to play that game at Desert.  My husband bought his Prius at another Toyota dealership and we never felt that good about it.  Our neighbor bought his Prius with Mike 6 years ago and were very pleased.  A lot of salesmen come and go so it says a lot about the dealership to have a dedicated long term employee.  I don t know if it was just because we felt very prepared but this was the best and fastest car buying experience I can remember!  Although I haven't had service yet, their department was very clean and they offer a shuttle so I will be able to leave my car there while at work.

Over the course of 3 years, we took our 3 Toyotas to Desert Toyota.  We received passable, expensive servicing in the beginning, but our final visits could not have been worse.  We took our 2001 Camry in for routine work.  They identified a problem which we authorized them to fix.  The car ran worse.  We took it back and they identified something else and we authorized them to fix that.  The car would not start when we were in a public parking lot and we had to have it towed to Desert Toyota where they offered us a rental car we were supposed to pay for.  They did some other repairs and it ran OK, but we had to pay the full bill for everything.  The girl at the rental office felt sorry for us after all this and did not make us pay for the rental.  We could not find a supervisor after 2 visits of looking for someone higher up to talk to.  We did talk to a supervisor early on in this process, but he was not helpful at all.  We also, around the same time, bought new tires for our HIghlander.  A year later these tires were worn out and I could not find paperwork with a warranty.  Having decided not to go back to Desert Toyota anyway, we went to a tire store where we learned the type of tires we bought had no warranty.
We think Desert Toyota ripped us off.  We will never go back.

Our salesman, Eugene McCauliff, was very helpful and friendly.  I felt that he answered all of my questions and was very low key and didn't do the regular salesman pushiness.  I would recommend that anyone wanting a Toyota to ask to deal with him directly.  We did end up buying a vehicle from another source but that was due to the features that it had and not about Gene's salesmanship.  I would gladly go to Desert Toyota if our other vehicle broke down and ask for Gene's help in finding us what we need.

I was pleased to receive an immediate appointment upon calling the service department. The work was completed in a timely manner. Service advisor, Mark, was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The cashier could have been a bit more attentive and personable, but the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this service department.

They do alright when one is doing the standard maintenance.  They are excellent as far as that goes.  They get it in and they get it out.  One can probably be there for an hour.  They can sit there and wait and rest until it's done.  I would probably give them a top grade on that service.  One can call them up and they set it up and they can see the guy.  They are pretty efficient.  I haven't had any problems with the yet.  When I bought the vehicle, I bought the prepaid package.  I don't really know what the individual prices are.  They did everything.  I couldn't have asked them to do any more than they did.  I'm always suspicious of car people and I'll be going back to them until they tell me something different.
