Ariat Roofing Inc

My existing roof was 21 years old, and we'd experienced some dripping water out of one of the recessed can lights during an April 2015 storm that included a lot of wind. I did some asking around, and ultimately decided on Ariat based on Angie's List recommendations. We now join the near multitude of satisfied Ariat Roofing customers. This is a modern company with old-fashioned, professional work values. Jay Grey was prompt, cordial, and a straight shooter when answering all my questions during his visit to inspect and collect data in order to make a bid on the job. His guestimated prices for both a partial and full roof job were spot on when I received the actual bids. I accepted the bid and was scheduled for the actual job about three weeks later. The actual roofing crew was always polite, cordial, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each work day. I watched the crew work from time to time, and what little I know about roofing, I could tell they were executing the job according to details in the bid, that they weren't scrimping on hardware, that they were taking their time on every square foot of the job. Like other satisfied customers writing on Angie's List, I can say that I actually liked working with this company, and how many people can say that in today's business world. Though this is a concrete tile roof, and the "real" work is in what's under that tile, I feel comfortable and secure knowing that I got my money's worth from a professional outfit and that this roof will probably last longer than I'm in the house....and that will be a long time. I rated Ariat "A" on "Overall Quality", "Quality", "Punctuality", and "Professionalism" because they met or exceeded expectations for those criteria. I rated Ariat "B" on "Pricing" because while I believe they are very competitive, that the price for the job is a significant chunk of change. So, I wasn't downgrading Ariat in particular for their pricing, but would give that rating to any company for a similar job. I also gave Ariat a "B" on "Responsiveness", and that's only because I'm being completely honest in my evaluation, knowing there were unique conditions during May 2015 affecting Ariat's ability to respond quickly to phone calls and e-mails. Principals in the company experienced a death in the family and they lost a week or so because they had to be out of town. It took a bit of time for Jay and others to get caught up with responding to phone calls and e-mails. They did, and most recent contacts with Jay and others has been same-day prompt. Besides, I wasn't in a panic about getting this roofing job completed, given where we all live.

Awesome company. Jeff (estimator) was up front, honest and worked hard to make sure everything was what we wanted. From beginning to end. The roofing crew is top notch. Made sure they left no mess, very professional, and and the kind of guys I could trust to leave my house and know everything would be fine when I was away. Hands down the best I've ever dealt with. I've worked in construction for 20 years and I can honestly say they are at the top. And their work held up and no leaks as we had a heavy monsoon storm (.38 inches)on sunday and no leaks! We went to TLC Roofing first they quoted us $1,250 we agreed but they a didn't show up. So a friend recommended Angie ' s list & found Ariat. They came as promised & only charged us $750. They also put an extra layer of the roof paper on. Roof paper is probably not the technical term. We meet the owner, he was nice, fast & efficient. I would highly recommend them, not TLC.

The crew arrived when they said they would and quickly removed the old roof and installed the new one. They were finished in one day and did an excellent job. They cleaned up the worksite like they hadn't even been there. The company scheduled the inspector to be there and finished everything after he signed off. They worked with us on the cooler which was a great help. Everyone was pleasant, efficient and did a great job. I was especially pleased when the owner agreed to do the work a little earlier than he planned so we could get the cooler installed before the hot weather arrived. I would most certainly use this company again. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Called to get a quote they showed up told me it was going to cost $450.00. I asked them on the spot when can the work be done, he told me end of the week. They never called again, I finally called Monday the lady told me they would call me back no later than the next day. I have never heard from them again. I ended up using another company that was a hundred bucks cheaper.

Very happy with the out come. they sent a crew large enough to complete the job in one day.

Very well. The ariat roofing team arrived when they said they would. They got to work and did the job with the professionalism and commitment that I was expecting.

Very professional and easy to work with. After getting the quote, I waited one year, then they still honored the same price. They even matched the shingles to the existing house instead of doing a flat rolled roof.

Jay was great with us. He understood it was an insurance claim so payment might take a little longer. He came out to inspect, and his estimate came within 50 dollars of the insurance estimate. Our roof was done within a day and everything was cleaned up perfectly. I was gone all day, and when I got home from work, it looked like the roof was changed by there were no other remnants of their work. Great service and highly recommended.

I called on Tuesday. They came by on Thursday (I was at work), did an estimate and called me. They were able to do the work on Friday. They did what they said they would in a timely manner. I would use them again!

The contacts with the company for the estimate were easy and professional, the work was done on time and efficiently, all the old materials were hauled away, the workers were very competent and friendly - it couldn't have gone better. There have been serious rains since the work was done, and NO LEAKS anywhere!

I would hire Ariat roofing no questions asked for my next roof repair. They did a great job, they were there when they said they would be there and even fit me into their schedule as my job was a bit of a rush due to the selling of the home. I received two other offers to do the work, one was too high and one seemed like it was too low and didn't ask to inspect the area of the leak. If I hire someone to do a job I expect the job to be done correctly and at a fair price, and that's exactly what I got! THANK YOU ARIAT ROOFING YOU ARE GREAT!

They came to do the estimate, but then they never followed up with me in any way.

I will use this company again in the future when the need arises. He was very professional, prompt, scheduling for a consult was very easy. I was most impressed with when he came out and reviewed my roof, I was having damage to my stucco overhang over the patio and the ceiling was having damage that I was concerned was a leak from the roof. They checked it out and let me know the overhang was separate from the roof, inspected it and said roof was in great shape. Very honest and I love that he didn't try to upsell me on any services that were not needed.

Contacted Jay at Ariat for a quote. He came the next day, examined the roof and provided a quote to remove and replace the entire 1st row of tiles (that had slipped in 20 years) and replace the liner and add a plastic sheeting. The work was scheduled within the next 2 weeks (busy season). They said they'd be there between 7-8am. When we arrived at 7:45, there were 4 workers on the roof, working away. Within a couple hours, the project was done. The workers cleaned the area thoroughly and were very professional and pleasant when we asked a few questions. We were very impressed with the responsiveness and service provided by Ariat Roofing and would recommend/use them in the future.

I wanted a reliable roofing company to examine my tile roof to determine if it needed any maintenance or repairs. I called on monday and was able to schedule an appointment for between 1000 and 1200 on tuesday. I got a call from Jeff at around 1000 letting me know that he was on his way. I was absolutely impressed and satisfied with Jeff's evaluation. He spent time talking with me about roofing issues in the southwest, materials, etc... Jeff spent a good amount of time on my roof lifting tiles and examining the felt underneath. It was an extensive evaluation and at the end Jeff said that my roof was in perfect condition and did not need any work. To call him in 5 years or as needed. He was very personable and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Jeff and the company to anyone in need of a roofing expert.

They did an excellent job. There were on time, the price was reasonable, they were courteous, cleaned up the work area, and did a superior job.

I made a mistake when I gave Ariat a bad review for not showing up. I got the name mixed up with another roofer. My apologies.

Jay was great! Super quick and responsive. He completed the roof repair in a timely manner and has given us a guarantee that the roof will not leak or it will be fixed again at no charge. We are very pleased with the job he completed and would recommend to anyone. Thank you!!

Unfortunately Ariat never showed or called re: appointment. I double checked my phone for missed called and voicemail. Called back day after to ask what happened and Jeff's vm was full and could not leave a message. Called other phone # listed and it was not Ariat. I know things happen, but disappointed after reading all the good reviews.

I called on Christmas night, expecting to get an answering machine, but the phone rolled to Jay's cell phone. I felt bad about that, but he said it was OK and that he'd call back the next day. He did, and said he normally wouldn't generally have anybody working till Monday because of the holiday weekend, but he would see if he could find someone and let me kmow. He found a worker to come out with him, and they went up to the attic. Good thing. I had TWO leaks, one that was evidentally from age (a pipe came apart/unglued and was causing most of the damage). Unbeknownst to me, another pipe was leaking right where my HVAC had just been replaced as well. Jay went to Lowe's and got some strong glue or whatever, and patched everything. He took pictures for me to show the HVAC guy and also said he'd talk to him if necessary. He also did not charge me any extra for any of this. Jay and Ariat went way above and beyond for me. I'd recommend them to anyone needing roofing.

Friendly, responsive, and professional. Gave us multiple options as to the amount of work that we could do to the roof. Kept the timeline they promised.

It went smoothly and perfectly. Jeff Miller came in to inspect the damage about three weeks ago and a couple of days later submitted and estimate. We accepted the figure and he gave us a date and a time: The would do the repair on January 7, 2015 late in the morning. Today (January 5), they called and said that they could do the work two days in advance. They came in later in the morning, did the job and everything went smoothly as promised. We even spoke to the gentleman that did most of the work, and he assured us that the leak will not bother us anymore (their company has a two year warranty for the job they performed). So, all in all, we have no complaints and we would highly recommend Ariat Roofing for all your roofing needs. Do keep in mind that they are a busy company, so one might have to wait a little bit. However, when one is in their schedule, then service is efficient and professional.

This was a great experience to follow the mess created by the leak in the roof. The owner came to our home and was very professional. He gave us complete confidence that it was something that his crew could fix and his quote was a fair price. There was rain in the forecast for the following week and he pushed his schedule to work us in. What a relief when the rain came and our roof was sealed and completely dry. We'll certainly call Ariat with any future roof repair needs.

The rep from Ariat came out and was able to determine the cause of my home's problem right away. (I would also add that he arranged to come to my house the day after I contacted him and he showed up on time!) We scheduled the work to be done 3 days after his initial visit and they showed up as promised and got it done with no problems. It was a very satisfying transaction overall. They were prompt, personable and did what they said they were going to do. Can't ask for more than that. As an aside - they also helped me diagnose another problem I was having with my house having to do with rain getting into my house through a door on an upstairs porch with no roof. I had gutters installed on that portion of the house and haven't had any problems with rain getting into the house since then. I owe my finally solving THAT problem as much to the company that put up the gutters as to Ariat Roofing for helping me diagnose it.
