He reconnected the hinge and said he reinforced it so it wouldn't come off again. About a month later, the same problem occurred again. I contacted him and explained the same problem is happening. He came and looked, and he said it is not the same problem and said I am misusing or abusing the door. I said I have been using the door the same way for 10 years, and he said no, it's a different repair and will be an additional $150.00. On the first visit, he charged more saying he reinforced it so the problem wouldn't happen again. I said I was going to leave a review on Angie's List about my experience, and he said if I do that he will hire a lawyer and sue me for slander.

AJ arrived on time and with less then 24 hours from the time of initial phone call. AJ was friendly, courteous and accurate with his pricing. Stated that he would be complete in 20 minutes and finished in less then 15 minutes. INCREDIBLE service, and I will refer him to my neighbors.

This is the second time I have used the services. He is very professional and extremely reasonable. I had AJ service two different homes this time. He made repairs to another garage about 18 months ago and was way less expensive than any other service estimate. We have had no issues with that garage since. I would not use another company. He will always be my first call.

E-Mailed Vendor via Angie's List site and described door issues. A.J Cuddeback called me and said he could be at home about 2:30pm same day. A. J. arrived on time, climbed up and said he could see damage to Gear & sprocket assembly. He quoted me $125 and said it would greatly improve garage door operation and decrease the loud noise caused by vibration and rough operation. He R&R the gears, installed new assembly, adjusted and optimized the complete opening and closing sequence. 
The door now opens and closes much smoother and quieter. GREAT performance by A. J. at a fair price. 
A. J. is returning following day to R&R bottom rubber door seal as it is torn and does interfere at full open position. This quote is 
for $25.

The service went well. I have no complaints on the service whatsoever. The pricing was very reasonable and they did the job as advertised. The technician was professional and punctual. They did great work and did a nice job with the cleanup afterwards. I had no difficulties scheduling the service.

Garage doors needed servicing--noise it generated on opening and closing could be heard all the way down the street.  AJ explained what he was recommending be done and why as well as the function of each part of the opener mechanism.  I thought his suggestions were reasonable as well as the cost--$150.  I'm having him take a look at another property in the area to see if the mechanism can be repaired and what the remaining useful like would be.

I called him to do the repair on a home we rent out and had not seen the garage door myself. However, my tenant noticed a garage door repairman across the street and had him come over to take a look. He quoted her $440. telling her the torsion spring had to be replaced. When I called A J, he quoted me $169. for the same job. When A J inspected the garage door himself he said it just needed new bolts and not a new spring and completed the repair for $100. I will definitely be calling American Garage Door for all future garage door services at all of our homes.

A.J., the owner of American Garage Door, showed up on time, with the right parts and equipment. He replaced one broken spring and recommended I have the other changed also due to age. He completed the replacements and lubed the springs and rollers in about 30 minutes. He answered all my questions as he worked so I'm wiser on garage doors. I plan to call him for another property that needs some garage door repair.

Fixed the broken part promptly, I was still having minor issues closing the garage door. When I called him again he came back the the same day to fix a issue.

They came out and looked at the mechanism, and then came back and replaced the board.  Only small glitch was they didn't call me when the new board arrived at their shop.  Otherwise the transaction was fast and incredibly inexpensive.

Came on time.  Was professional and friendly.  Did a thorough inspection and recommended future repairs that were not needed presently.

The owner/operator A. J. provided the service. He was very professional in all aspects of the job. I was just expecting an estimate with work to be done at a later date. He gave me the estimate and was able to complete the repairs to the track, brackets and garage door panel immediately. Within in an hour he had all repairs accomplished and even lubricated all the moving parts. He explained every action to me so that I could understand. I cannot say enough good about his performance in all areas. I highly recommend him to anyone requiring this type of work.

Came home to discover that my garage door would not open. Found out the spring for the door had snapped. Checked "Angie's List" for reviews and called "American Garage Door". AJ (the owner) gave me an estimate over the phone and said he could be out within an hour. AJ actually arrived early and performed the work flawlessly. Very friendly and polite, I'd definitely recommend him for any work on the garage door.

He was wonderful.  He gave us a reasonable estimate.  We had a couple of others, which were 3 in total.  He was prompt and courteous.  He got it done on time and it worked.  He educated us on issues, and addressed our questions and concerns very well.  He was helpful.  He also said that if our batteries died, he would come and replace them for free but they haven’t.  He just seemed good and got the job done promptly and very well.

AJ was the first to respond, he gave me a firm quote and then surprised me by offering to fix the garage door the next day.  He was great to deal with, and I would highly recommend him.  I had springs replaced and he had the work done in TWENTY minutes.  You'll get a good price and fast work with AJ.  He knows his doors!

They did an excellent job.  My garage door springs were broken and they installed a new pair.  The price was very reasonable and the work was done the same day. The owner of the company did the installation and  I would highly recommend him for all your garage door needs.

AJ came out when promised to give us an estimate of repair/replacement and quoted a very reasonable price.  He came back exactly when promised and replaced our garage door opener in a very timely and professional manner, including lubricating the tracks and hinges on the door.  He even helped me to program my extra "clicker".  I would recommend AJ to anyone who needs work on their garage door or opener.  He's fast, good and inexpensive.

I got on Angies list to find a serviceman to help. I saw a company i had used in the past with no problems but chose American Garage Door  this time & was completely satisfied with the entire experience. Prompt response,quick repair & reasonable cost. Would recomend & use again.
