Purchased 2 brand new Daikin units in June of 2020. Immediately began having issues with one of the units. Had multiple visits from Alaskan during our 2-year service agreement period (though they claim there are only 2 documented visits when I have phone records that show we've called them or more than that). Finally, in the 3rd year the problem unit completely gave out. Alaskan has filed paperwork for a warranty replacement from Daikin but still wants $1,500 to install the replacement unit. After complaining we were offered a paltry $300 discount on installation costs. We should not have to pay installation costs twice for a unit that is only 3 years old and that has a documented history of being faulty from the beginning. Then there is the customer service side. We had to call multiple times a day for 5 days just to get the estimated cost for the replacement installation. No one ever called us back, each time it was us reaching out to Alaskan. We also requested to speak to Chad, the owner, and have never received a call back despite the front office allegedly leaving messages for us. It seems Alaskan's policy is to patch up problems and hope the unit lasts longer than the labor warranty and that calling customers back is a low priority. They make a good sales pitch, but they do not stand by the products they sell, their service, or their customers. Our entire family is sleeping in our living room right now because they sold us a faulty unit and couldn't or wouldn't recognize that it was failing slowly. I will not trust them with my friends or family's A/C needs again.

Pleased with the install, not as pleased with the support after. Communication has been lacking, with 4 days of no cool before any real idea on how to proceed.

Very poorly. We spent over $2000 to repair our air conditioning units. The one unit still does not work. They are now lying and said we were told it needed to be replaced. Actually what they said it would eventually need replacing, but not immediately. Now all they say is we need a new unit. They should at least apply money spent to a new unit, but they were very matter of fact - we need a new unit. Also, I keep telling them my thermostat needed replacing, but they insisted it worked. These men were very in my opinion “know it alls”, and since I’m medically challenged, I feel they were taking advantage of us. I am 78 & my husband is 81. That is not the way to treat senior citizens. Since I have a gold membership, I would like Angi to intercede. Since it is 108 degrees, we will calling another company.

I had the most horrible experience in my entire life!! I bought a Maytag HVAC unit from them about 5 years ago. I had my regular AC tune ups and sometimes needed more Freon. By the way - if you have to add freon to your AC - SOMETHING IS WRONG AND MUST BE FIXED. So after I had the system for about 3 years - they came out and told me that the compressor was burnt up. How can such a thing happen after only 3 years. Here's the good part - I had a warranty on the compressor but not for labor. They proceeded to tell me that it would cost me $1,700 to replace it!!!! well needless to say I did not have that kind of money laying around. Then they just left and that was it!! Did nothing to try to help me. I had lost my job and my funds were super low. It so hot in the house that I thought I was gonna die. Now watch out for this scam - "THEY CHARGE YOU $200 TO HAVE YOUR AC COILS CLEANED with some special coil cleaner. but if you pay a monthly amount ($25 I think) then it is free. Well I found out that this special coil cleaner can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowe's for about $7!!!! Plus you can watch videos that show you how to clean your ac do this Thankfully Out of nowhere - I called Fast Affordable Air and by the grace of God they brought me a used ac and took the burned up one. THEY NEVER ASKED FOR A PENNY! I will always be grateful to Fast Affordable Air. I rest my case.

I signed up for a membership $580 for 3 years of service maintenance includes checking AC unit and a water tank flush, with 20% off work completed off on any work needed. The HVAC was professional and thorough he checked the systems and made recommendations. Our systems are older he was not trying to sell me new systems, however he did recommend 2 items for our compressor. We took him at his word and completed let him complete the work costs around $300. As part of membership we received a discount 20%. The plumbing associate came same day we had issues with water not hot in certain spots. He flushed our systems and then recommended a unit to go on water tank to help extend life and provide solution to water heater. He also looked at water softener and recommended purchasing a new upgraded version. We declined but had water tank work completed for around $680. My issue came about because I needed another opinion regarding air quality and had a second company come out. The other company, were very knowledgable and weren’t trying to upsell me as Alaskan Air. I called Alaskan Air back to see if I could cancel the remainder of my 3yr membership and was offered $160 of the $580 back, the reason is because though I was a member at time of services completed which entitled me to discounts I had to repay the cost savings discount I received of 20% on completed work. Also I had to cover the portion of services completed (AC check and water heater flush). While I understand they needed to charge for maintenance services performed why as a member would I have to pay back the discounts I received as a member? I realized I got a benefit as a member but I paid for recommended repairs their technicians said were needed. After speaking with a rep they offered $190 of the $580 a $20 increase. The receptionist is great and I don’t fault her. I just know that in Las Vegas coming into contact with a good customer friendly AC can be a challenge. Unfortunately this was my mistake to learn the hard way $.

I got a call from Alaskan Heating and Air that my Bi-annual system checkup was due. They set it up for about a week later for between 4 and 6pm. They arrived at 4pm, and Tony came to the door with a smile and asked me a few questions then went to work. He was extremely careful on my roof, as it is hard to go right in front of the air conditioner, so he had to make his way across another way, but gingerly went across the tiles. He did his work, was always jovial, and took his time making sure he did everything. I just wanted to let the company know what a great worker they have, and that because of people like him, I will continue to use this company for all my air conditioning and heating.

Alaska Plumbing, Heating & Air had let a cat into our house while we were away. We presented the evidence in the form of doors being left open for 17 minutes at a time. It is worth noting they were the only people at our house while we were away. Chad had written inaccurately in response to a Yelp review that we said there were other contractors in our house so it could have been them. I'd like to think he didn't say this to lie on purpose but may have been mistaken. Either way, the evidence was not in dispute. Fortunately, Animal Control was able to remove the cat (alive) and the cost ended up being the cost of a $800 rug and the $350 fee from Servpro. Animal Control performed the service for free. I think what was most enraging was that Chad had suggested that "he didn't know who I was and we were trying to take advantage of him" First of all, this is what business insurance is for. Secondly, I own homes in six states and employ close to 10,000 people across my various companies. I didn't get to where I am trying to "take advantage" of local businesses with grand schemes and fictional tales of cats being let into my home so I could try to score a cool $350 and a new rug (although it really did tie the room together) This is about right and wrong and I will fight for what is right. After reading Chad's misleading Yelp reply I have a renewed sense of duty to spread the word about my experience with this company

On August 15th, my wife and I awoke to find no air conditioning on the first floor of our home. With the temperature projected to reach 108 that day, I called Alaskan Air at 8:00 AM hoping to find someone in the office. To my surprise, Patty answered and upon learning that we are on an annual maintenance plan with Alaskan Air she said that she would have a technician dispatched within the hour…another surprise! The technician (Marcel) arrive within 45 minutes……another surprise! Marcel confirmed our fears….one of our 15 year old heat pumps was beyond repair……not a surprise, because Alaskan Air had provided a warning previously. After checking the Alaskan work schedule with Patty, Marcel said they could replace our entire system that day…..another surprise! By noon, a crew of five technicians (Omar, Armondo, Jason, Alex, and Jamie) arrived with all the components for our new system. For six hours, they worked as a well-coordinated team (without a break) in 106-degree heat to complete the installation. By 6 PM our new Lennox HVAC system was cooling our home……a final, and very pleasant, surprise! Every Alaskan Air employee in the chain of events that resulted in the installation of our new Lennox HVAC system was knowledgeable, courteous, efficient and sensitive to our comfort and convenience. We are pleased to have been treated as such valued customers. The ownership of Alaskan Air deserves credit for having assembled such a well-trained and service-oriented team. They should be very proud of the team that came to our rescue. Bob Schaffhauser

I had a new unit installed in our casita. It was a mini-split wall mount indoor unit. The representative was Joseph Moss that sold us the unit. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. He answered all of our questions and had a good attitude the whole time. He explained everything about the new unit. He gave me a card to call him if I had any other questions before or after the installation. I read the booklet that came with the new unit and I had questions regarding the information in the booklet and Joseph answered all of the questions. I called the office to review all of the information in regard to warranties and permits. They take care of all of the paperwork. They also have a great service agreement after the sale; they cover the cost of twice yearly service check ups for the unit they installed. In talking to the office; I talked to Dominic; and he stated that the free service agreements were good until 2030. Jaime Villegas installed the unit. He covered everything inside with plastic. He did not scratch or get dirty anything he came in contact with. The unit on the wall was installed and was perfectly level. The outside unit he tied down to the cement pad so it could not be moved. He painted the gutter through which the electrical wiring, refrigeration pipes, and condensation pipe passed through. The gutter paint matched the color of the outside wall. Jaime explained the operation of the unit; and how to use the remote to run the unit. Jaime was very patient and knowledgeable during this whole process. This was a second unit that Alaskan Heating and Air has installed for us. They also installed a new unit in the main house.

They put in my 2 new air conditioners/furnace 2 years ago. Great job. So pleased with their work. They come out twice a year for inspection of the units. I called to have the NEST installed and that evening the tech was there to install it. Great company. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The Alaskan Air Service Technician thoroughly inspected and evaluated our equipment (at no cost) and recommended minor repairs. The repairs were made by the technician (at a modest cost) on the same call. We terminated our maintenance plan with our current (now former) service provider and we subscribed to the Alaskan Air service plan. The Service Technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough. He took great pain to assure that we understand the condition of our equipment and the basis for the repairs that he recommended.

Blower motor on home A/C went out at 10:00 PM on 2nd day of 3 day weekend. My regular AC company couldn't get anyone to me until the next day..MAYBE. They answered immediately and technician was onsite within 30 minutes of my original call. Repairs completed that night as he had the parts with him(thank goodness, or it would have been Tuesday). Cost right in line with what I expected, actually a little lower. 100% satisfied.
