AVOID THIS COMPANY. What an absolutely terrible experience. My main irrigation pipe outside my home started shooting water everywhere over the weekend, and leading up to the incident I would hear a loud crash and what sounded like pipes rattling whenever my irrigation would turn on or off. I put in a service request and Advanced Home Services responded via American Home Shield. The technician was friendly enough, I guess, but he almost completely disregarded my concern regarding the noise and pipe rattling. I was even able to recreate the concern, to which he stated it had to do with my irrigation itself and referred me to a landscaper. Upon calling a landscaper and explaining the issue, the landscaper immediately stated it was a pressure regulator valve in the garage and I needed to have a plumber replace it. Advanced Home Services refused to come back out without a new service request—which would cost another service fee—and stated I should have listed “valves” as my original issue, as opposed to “leaking pipes”. When I informed them I had no way of knowing the valve was the catalyst to the leaking pipe, considering I’m not a plumber or landscaper, they continued to refuse to honor my request. They stated I now had a new issue and the matter was closed on their end. I contacted American Home Shield and they re-opened the request; however, Advanced Home Services canceled the request. When American Home Shield attempted to contact them again, they were placed on hold for a considerable amount of time and essentially ignored. American Home Shield was able to do me a solid and re-opened the request with another vendor. Upon speaking to the new vendor and describing my concern, the gentleman interjected and said, “Pressure regulator valve,” before I could even finish. At the least, Advanced Home Services sucks. A more accurate way of putting it would be to say Advanced Home Services is incompetent, negligent, and borderline corrupt. Go literally anywhere else.

These guys are a contractor for AHS and were dispatched to my home for a plumbing issue. They intentionally misdiagnosed and miscategorized issues in an attempt to severely overcharge me for work that is covered under my warranty. Buyer beware.

Company misdiagnosed problem. Changed thermostat 7 times. Went to turn on heat recently and called the company back and they told me that it wasn't a bad thermostat. It was a bad cicuit board. Wanted to chage me $700 for the repair, I said I shouldn't apy anything since it wasn't fixed right the first time. She said they would reduce the price to $500. I said I would pay the money, but I will still file a complaint. She said they they didn't want my business and would not repair my unit at all.

Horrible. This company was in contract with our home warranty company. They were sent out to fix our rusty water problem. The technician diagnosed that we did have rusty water, but did not know the cause of it. When we told him that the replacement of the anode rod being the likely fix he said he had never done one before and then sat in his car for 45 minutes. He said he was checking with our home warranty and that it was not covered by our policy. He gave us an estimate to replace the anode rod of $240. He did not charge us at the time for the service call fee because he had done nothing besides verify what we had already told him. Later we received a bill from our home warranty for $75. According to the home warranty company the Advance Home Services technician blamed us and stated due lack of home owner's regular maintenance, but never mentioned any of that to us.
