A & P Painting & Roofing

Love my new paint job. Peter was great to work with and his crew was on time to start the job. Kudos to his foreman Hector also. They were finished in a day and a half so we could move back in. Peter recommended that I speak with Jennifer @Dunn Edwards on S. Fort Apache for paint advice. She's awesome. I brought in some pictures I wanted to match and she found the right colors for me. I picked "Cloud" for the majority of the walls in the house and it's a lovely, light color. Totally happy with my house. It was work to get everything off the walls and packed away for the painters, but it was worth it when I saw the results.

Meeting the owner - Peter Reid Jr - went very well. He is very well spoken, friendly and professional. He even recommended that I get other quotes but I did hire him. Was told that he would take 2 days with a 3rd for touch-ups (I have a small home). The day before he and the job foreman, Hector, came thru for a walkthru so everything was set. They arrived promptly and I was informed that because they had extra crew members, they would be able to finish my house in 1 day and they did!!!!! I was pleasantly surprised when I went in to find a very nicely done job with only a few minor touchups needed - i.e., paint on the carpet and tile, couple of places where they had pulled the tape off and the paint came with it. The next day, Mr. Reid's son and Hector came to get paid and do any touchups. It was at the end of day so the light had changed so I suggested they wait til daylight to come back but they insisted all was well. The son was friendly and I expressed my pleasure in how well everything looked but as soon as I mentioned the issues I had, Hector developed a serious attitude. I wasn't trying to offend anyone but nothing is going to be perfect and I expected there to be some touchups but he didn't want to hear it. He stomped around making the corrections while the son defended his every move. In fact, by the time they were done, he had stomped himself right out of a tip. That was Friday and today (Tuesday), we have discovered that when they painted the A/C grid on the ceiling, they sprayed it so heavily that the "reusable" filters are caked with paint and ruined. It's amazing that any air was getting thru them. Had they slowed down just a little and not tried to cram the whole thing into one day, maybe Hector wouldn't have had so many touchups.

Everything went great

Peter's team (Hector and crew) showed up on a Thursday afternoon, prepped the house, including power wash and preliminary stucco repairs, they were done within 3 hours. The crew showed up at 6am on Friday and were completed by 2:30pm. The job included the exterior of the house, 4 car garage, backyard brick wall and stucco repair. The crew moved patio furniture before and after the work. The team was great, they cleaned up and left my house in great shape. I highly recommend A&P Painting.

Peters crew did a fantastic job on painting the house, garage and the boundary walls, they came in and repaired all the stucco along the boundary walls and all the cracks on the walls on the house, My wife and I could not be more pleased. Thanks Peter.

The power washing occurred the evening of the day before painting was to begin. Peter's team did a thorough job of raking back the stone from the foundation and then washing all the surfaces to be painted. The team returned promptly at 7 am the next day to begin masking, repairing minor defects in the stucco, caulking door and window frames and other penetrations, priming door trim and other surfaces as required, and then painting. The painting and all cleanup was completed in one day, and as described in the estimate. The price included all labor, supplies and paint. Peter visited the work site multiple times to ensure we were satisfied. Also, his team lead, Hector, remaining in contact with us as the work progressed to check if we remained satisfied. There was a gallon or less of each paint color remaining when the crew was finished, so there was no waste to speak of.

Peter came and looked at it said he could do it for $3000.00. He was not able to get to it then but would be able in 6 weeks. In 6 weeks he came back we signed a contract and two days later the workmen showed up and started on my roof. It was all completed in two days. Peter came back and showed us photos of what was wrong with the roof and what had been done to repair it. I paid him his $3000.00 and he left. It has rained several times since then and my roof no longer leaks. This company was professional, and friendly. What was promised was done and the estimated cost was the cost I was asked to pay after the work was done. It was quick and done properly to fix the problem. Another company wanted to do the whole roof for a cost of $15,000.00 Peter told me that wasn't necessary as he could repair just the leaking part, which is what he did. He is an honest man and I certainly recommend A & P to anyone who needs their services.

They far exceeded expectations! Beyond repairing the damaged spot in roof, they went around and sealed every crack they could find, matched and replaced several tiles, and dealt with our insurance company. Terrific work and service!

The crew of three men arrived at 7 AM and worked very hard throughout the day. All the work was excellent. I would hire them again for other work as needed.

Peter and his team did an excellent job. I never take the time to write reviews but I felt it important to do so both for Peter's business and future customers looking for a painter. Painting a house is a rather big investment and I found A & P to be the professionals I was looking for in a painter. Peter is fantastic. So nice and professional. The work was done exactly how he said it would and they were able to do it quickly.

I'm very pleased with the results. Peter and his crew came out and pressure washed the house, repaired some stucco, filled in cracks, repaired wood trim and painted. Peter and his crew are very professional and hard workers. They finished the job in quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely used A&P Painting and Roofing again. Peter is honest and won't take payment until the job is complete. When Peter came out to give an estimate he explained everything and answered all my questions.

They were honest and responsiveness. He was clear, the price is always more then what you would like but it was good for the amount of work. I think they did good.

The crew did an excellent job. We are completely satisfied with the quality of work and the crews work ethic. Hector the crew leader is meticulous I asked him about this and he said he approaches the job as if it was his mothers home and it carries to his work ethics. Very happy with the materials the company uses. Quality through out.

How did it go?..........Smooth.............arrived on time and completed the work in one day. Explained the process and what they planned to do.

Peter called me within hours of requesting a proposal, he came the next day to see the property. He went up on the roof and told me what repairs needed to be done. Within a few days the repairs were completed. Then the house painting started on a Monday and was done by Wednesday. All crew members were polite, answered all my questions and completed their work in a timely manner. Peter checked on the work daily and did a final walk around with us to make sure we were happy with everything. In addition to the stucco and wood trim, they also painted 4 metal gates on the property. We plan to have them back to do the interior of our home.

Peter was prompt to respond to my inquiry and punctual with service times. The work went well and seemed very thorough to ensure the roof leaks were repaired. Pricing seemed fair for services provided

Peter gave us his estimate of $750, after checking out the entire roof. There were several spots that needed attention; he showed us the photos of those areas; it had to do with misc cracked or broken tiles, and deteriorating flashing. It seemed like a reasonable estimate, so we had him go ahead with the work. Very pleased with his timely response. He used the extra tiles that we had on hand and used new tiles in areas that would not be seen from the street. There was a subtle difference in color shade, so it was no big deal. We saw the photos of the completed work. Very professional. We will use their service again as needed.
