I use them every year.

Went fine. They came when they were scheduled and applied the fertilizer.

First I wasn't signed up after agreeing to the service and giving my credit card to prepay for a year. I had to call back 3 times before I was finally signed up. The weeds came back so I called for a retreat, I was told they would be out within 3 business days. 5 days later I called and was told a manager would call me back. 4 days later I still haven't received a call. 2 weeks later they finally came out to retreat. I will never again use Trugreen.

My husband and I rent a home and the lawn suddenly went from lush and lovely to brown patches and dying. Our landlord recommended TruGreen so we contacted them. I talked to the corporate offices and they arranged for quarterly service and for someone from their local office to come and spray the lawn. I told them we only needed the front lawn as the back lawn was great. They said it was all part of the service. The lawn (front and back) was sprayed. Within two weeks our backyard lawn was dying. All of one section of it was completely dead and brown by the end of that first quarter. When the employee came for the second quarter, I talked with him about my concern for the backyard and that the front lawn had only improved slightly. He told me the lawn needed a gypsum treatment which would cost $100 and that if the backyard didn't come back by the next quarterly visit, they would reseed it. In the meantime, I received a survey from TruGreen Corporate which I completed indicated less than satisfaction for the service. The corporate office called me immediately and said they would have the local supervisor call me which he did. I told him about my concerns and he said that they would make sure the technician was aware and stayed on top of it. The front lawn continued to deteriorate and the backyard did not improve in anyway. In fact, it got worse. Before the third quarterly visit, I contacted corporate and told them I wanted to discontinue service. They had a manager call me and then the another local supervisor called and came right over. I showed him my concerns in the front yard. He said it was due to over watering which had caused a fungus. Then I showed him the devastated backyard and he said the same thing. I asked if that wasn't what they were supposed to be doing and that if there had been a problem pointed out they should have been able to advise me as to what they would do to fix it? He told me their employee was fairly new when he was assigned our property and he would take care of having the backyard reseeded in May and speak to the technician. He gave me his card and told me to call him if that didn't get done. I called him in May because nothing had been scheduled and the message I got was that the cell phone number was not accepting calls. I then called the local office and the phone just rang without an answer or message. I then called the corporate office. The woman I spoke to put me on hold, called the local office, and then got back to me that she had gotten through and they would have a manager call me within 24 hours. After three days of not hearing from them, I called corporate and terminated my services. The TruGreen Corporation is very professional and has an excellent computerized system which is easily Internet accessible. Unfortunately, the local office does not appear to be professional at all and is a poor representative of the corporation. Our front yard has continued to deteriorate and some areas are completely dead. We are trying to fix it ourselves, but will definitely use Angies List to find another service provider soon.

Terrible customer service. Difficult to contact anyone. If you do, unhelpful and don't actually do what they say.

They are holding up with their service.  After every service they did, they give me a note of what they did and their recommendations for follow ups.  They saved my lawn.  My lawn looked pretty bad last year and now it improved immensely.

I hired this company for a one-shot event. Spray weeds. Once. An agent came to the location and sprayed the weeds. He said the company made a mistake and set me up for weekly service and he would correct it.
I have been harassed and hounded by this company ever since. The company makes phone calls all day and all night.  The phone calls always come exactly when I have just finally fallen asleep after a hard day. They want to know why I discontinued the service. I explained to them that I never ordered a regular service and I have told the agents many times over to never dial my number again. The phone calls keep coming. About 10 in just the past 2 weeks. Every time I tell them to never dial my number again. This company is a total nightmare.

They are okay. They may be a little expensive but all lawn services are. It keeps the lawn healthy and keeps the weeds down. They are probably as good as anybody that does that kind of service. I don't like putting chemicals on myself and for somebody to do it for me they do as good a job as anybody else. I might be able to find someone that is cheaper but they might not know as much. They have people on staff that are college trained in that field so they know what to use. Otherwise you are dealing with people that don't have the training. They will send out a card in the mail saying when they will be here unless it rains and they have always been here on that day.

I am completely satisfied with the treatments that TruGreen does on my yard. I have them fertilize my yard. The price is little high but they do a great job and are on time when they schedule with you.

Products must be bad.
Failure to let me know they were coming and I have dogs which must be put away.
Failure to return phone calls.
Failure to come and look at lawn when requested.
Received lots of calls trying to sell additional services.

My experience was excellent.  Their price was very reasonable compared to other companies.  I liked their professionalism. They know their job very well and my plants are growing very green and good.

DO ask TruGreen to remove your phone number from their call list or they'll never stop calling you.

I have been using since August 2012, my grass was dying and roses were sick looking, I then made an appointment they showed and checked out the problem. They come now as part of routine to make sure that yard is always in good shape. I love the work that they do and  I would definitely recommend them to anyone. 

I would not use them again.

I'm not sure about their products, the only thing they've done for me so far is spray insecticide. What's utterly terrible is their scheduling. They can't figure out when they'll be here. One time they tell me they are going to be here and i leave the keys for my backyard and they don't show up because it looked like it would rain. Fine. they show up next week without informing me and I find a note that they could not do the back as it was locked. I re-schedule, leave the keys out for them and nobody shows up. What they are extremely punctual about is charging my credit card (they get an "excellent" rating for that). Find somebody better.
