They were good, even my boyfriend was impressed. The gentleman's name was Steve, he came out and fixed it. He came out a few years ago for me as well for a plug in another bathroom. I kept his card, I will use him again. He was really nice. I don't know how true it is but he said since I was a registered nurse he would give me a discount.

Brad was highly recommended by others in my community. He provided accurate and reasonable estimates for the work, did an outstanding job, and was willing to listen to what I wanted and worked with me to get it done. Others who bid the work only wanted to do things their way and would not consider how I would like things to be done. Brad was able to connect the carriage lights to the timer for my front porch light so all come on at the same time. He installed the lights through the garage attic when others wanted to put metal conduit pipes all over the garage walls including to an outlet. He was able to install motion lights where I wanted on the sides of my home low enough so I can safely change bulbs. He was prompt, explained procedures thoroughly, cleaned up after his work, and was very easy to work with.

Stephen arrived promptly, listened to what the problem was and set about diagnosing the problem. He then explained what the problem was and an exact estimate of repair. I asked when he could do the work and he said he was ready to start although it was already 5P. He fixed the problem and left the broken parts with me. I will definitely use him if I have any additional problems. He was very professional, well groomed and personable.

He quoted me the price over the telephone for $150 which I thought very reasonable what we are going to do. He came out here and nothing is this end it seems. We were in any complications. He figures he would be here about an hour. It took out for 4 hours to do the job. He only charged me $170 and went into $20. He said it was fine and he had to do that but he spends 4 hours here. That was wonderful. It was a great price. I worked with him to everything he did. It was a lot of work. When he called me and quoted me that price, he also gives you a time. This was the second job I called him on. The first job, I had him put an outlet in the kitchen and it is the same thing. He charged me at about $100 to put that outlet and ran it outside with outside receptacles including parts. He came out and quoted me the price on the phone and it was right on. I would check and it was a right quote. He was in and out in an hour and got a little vacuum cleaner. He cleans up the floor and sweeps up the mess, puts everything away like he has never been there. He is easy to work with and honest. Angie's List helped us so much. It saves so much time, money, and everything else. I do not know how we could deal about it now.

I had used new venture before with no problems, i am using them again.
I know absolutely nothing about electricity and this young man does and seems to know quite a bit.
He had to search alot to find the reason 2 outlets were not working. Alot of effort went into this and he persisted and
the problem was found and fixed. We are all very happy.

I called to make the appointment with Steve Puckett the owner, but instead I got his son, they both have the same English accent. He made itsound like he could work for hours and said the price would be $320.00. Mylights in the bedroom were out and the circuit breaker didn't work. He claimedthe wires were to short. He changed the wires in the bedroom, but the problemstill existed. The real problem was the pond pump's ground fault tripped thelights. Once he changed the ground fault everything worked. The analogy is like taking a cab from the airport to the LVH andthe driver takes you on a scenic tour of the Hoover dam first. If want to be overcharged! Use New Venture In Henderson LLC.Pickett will not give you a detailed bill and his rates are above $300 per hour. He owned a bagel shop two years ago lost that. Now he's an electrician, go figure. The contractor who gave me Steve's number informed me that, he stopped using him, because he overcharged his customers. All very true! I don't have a dog in the fight; my landlord paid for the work. However, I believe people should be wary of this business.

It went very well. Aside from a minor hiccup with communication in the beginning, it was quickly ironed out by Steve, the owner.
customer service is very important to him and he is willing to do what it takes to make sure you are happy.
I will definitely call him again.

All went well. No complications in the installations. Needed to go into the attic area to be able to do the electrical and to make the necessary hole cuts to the walls. The work was done in the morning hours which made a difference in the temperature being more comfortable for attic work.
I will be using this company for recessed light installation and will report back.

Totally professional and even arrived earlier than scheduled. I would recommend them if you want a licensed electrician versus a handyman. No worries about the work being shoddy or not to code.

I called Steve several days later and we set up an appointment. Although he could not keep the appointment time, being stuck at another job across town, he called to say he would be late and appologized ... a courtesy very much appreciated and respected.
Steve arrived with all his tools and ladder and was shown where all the alarms were located. He went to work immediately, removed the old and put in the new with each of the 6 alarms in our house, one of which is situated on a very high ceiling. (I had informed him that we already had a tall ladder in place since a regular household ladder would not have been able to reach it). He tested the alarms to make sures that they all work the way they should.
He showed me how to replace the batteries, what to do when the battery starts chirping and how to clear the alarm when there is a and quot;false alarmand quot;, like when it is nothing more than excess cooking smoke that is not threatening.
Steve is a very personable guy, very thorough and does a neat and good job. I would definitely hire him again should I have any need for more electrical work.

All issues that i had were resolved within a two hour period of time. The GFCI was replaced and the live wall switch was investigated with a trip and work in the attic area. New wiring was run down to the den and an additional switch was put in for the fan and light features. The outlet in the wall that was originally was controlled by the one switch is now a regular outlet with no switch control. The day was overcast but humid so working in the attic area with fiberglass and limited space is no joy. Steve was prepared with a respirator and had no reservations about doing what needed to be done. His son installed the GFCI while his father, Steve worked in the attic. They both communicated with two way Both were punctual and polite and well spoken and clear about what needed to be done. I paid them with a personal check and would definitely hire New Venture again.

Steve is a licensed, bonded and insured electrician. He is also a Leed Green Associate. My friend Marilyn used him and raved about him. The electrician I've used for years has gone MIA, so I called Steve to finally install a motion sensor between my house and my neighbor's. I'd bought it months ago and never got around to having it installed. My husband and I gave Steve the motion sensor and showed him where we wanted it installed, and tole him what our objective was. He made a suggestion or two; such as installing it high so that no one can cut the wires. He went into our "attic" to install it. It looks great, works perfectly. He made sure we tested it before he left. He charged us exactly what he had quoted. While he was working on the motion sensor, I asked him if there is any way to put our porch lights on a timer. He told me the options; I chose one; and the next day he arrived at my house as scheduled with timers. He installed them and charged me for one hour of labor. (It took him an hour to install the timers. He did not charge me for the time it took to go to the hardware store to purchase them.) Over the weekend, we bought a new dining room light fixture. I called him early one morning and left a voice message. He returned my call that afternoon, leaving a voice message for me. I called him, told him what I wanted, and he said that he could do it in a hour or two. He arrived two hours later and worked with my husband and I to install it exactly where we wanted it. He even patched the hole in the ceiling from the previous hook, using his own spackle. My three experiences with him indicate that he can think things out (he wasn't familiar with the swag hooks but quickly understood my husband's input), is a qualified and experienced electrician, is prompt polite pleasant and professional. His prices are fair. He responds quickly. I highly recommend Steve for your residential electrical needs.
