Mechanical Express

Since my water heater is covered by my home warranty company, I listed it as leaking on Apr 15, 2018. Mechanical Express was the contracted company that performed the service. Since I didn't know what to expect, I took some pictures and sent them to the company. The following morning, I contacted them and they were able to fit me in for that day; the best part was when Bill showed up 2.5 hours earlier and verified the warranty on the water heater. He worked with the water heater manufacturer and home warranty company and he recommended replacement of the unit. Since the water heater was still under warranty, Bill to determine what areas the manufacturer would cover or pay for with replacement. Bill was extremely professional and a nice person. He removed the water heater and informed me that he needed to get with the manufacturer on the failed component and will return shortly. About an hour later, he returned with a new water heater and informed me that the manufacturer would cover replacement cost. Once it was installed and tested, it functioned normally. Based on the job performance and Bill's skills and good nature, I would definitely contact him for a non-home warranty project. The cost is only the service fee according to the home warranty. I almost forgot to mention that Bill even installed a PVC elbow in the drain to ease drainage. The elbow makes it easier to place a bucket to catch dripping water.
