This most recent tune up included the tech brining an apprentice with him for on the job training. They arrived within the time frame estimated. They were courteous and efficient. I've been using this company for about a decade for annual a/c tune ups. Several years ago the company replaced the condensor. No major issues whatsoever while using this company for my a/c services. The cost is an approximation as my spouse typically pays for the annual service.

On Saturday morning, it was obvious that the system was still not working so we again called Gibson and Kyle came right back out. He performed a system leak check and when he found no leaks, he began taking our heating/control unit apart.  The problem was very obviously a bad coil.  We were faced with the decision of replacing the coil only, or installing a new system.  The difference in price between repair and replacement made replacement a better option.  I have to say, that the Gibson team worked quickly and tirelessly to get our system up and running.  Gibson Air brought in temporary cooling units so our elderly father and our sick adult had cool places to stay. They could not have been more helpful.  They brought the units in, they set them up and invited us to call them if we could help in any other fashion.
By Monday evening, our new system was up and running.  This was no small task and it was certainly hot.  Gibson Air really came through in this circumstance.  While we were not expecting such a large bill at this time, the price did include two service calls, a complete leak check of our system, the generous loan of portable air conditioning units and the tireless efforts of our primary service technician, Kyle.
The system is working wonderfully and we only have one last detail to finish out.  We are still awaiting delivery of the air filter for our new unit.  I am sure that will be coming any time now.  I absolutely recommend them.
Again, I have to say that our technician, Kyle Hellar, was professional, courteous and sincerely seemed to care about what we were going through and worked hard to get our system back on track.

They're mainly a corporate company. They are quick, professional, no BS, and no guys showing up in a little 25-year old truck. They had company trucks, they have a big unit and they do a lot of corporate jobs. If they tell you they're going to be there and they're going to get it done, they're going to do it right.

Very disappointed. Guy was an hr late, even though he called ahead. Guy looked right out of high school. Took about 15 mins to check on the A/C units and I gave thim the info from the last year's service notes about Freon being added,etc. He basically said no freon was leaking this time and something was 'shooting'...huh? I knew I had to replace the units so asked him for estimates. I then asked him if the size of the units were big enough for the house, since the smaller unit cooled the upstairs which has windows on 3 sides of the house and constantly stays on. The larger unit tends to go off and on again and seemed to cool just fine.
He looked me straight in the eyes and said 'well, this is the standard for when they build the houses'....Ok, I said, so this is normal and I don't need a bigger size? His face twisted into a bunch and he never really commited to answering the question. He then went on to say "they only install American Standard', again and again. I have no idea why he kept saying that. I never asked about brands.
He reluctantly went back to his truck for about 15 mins and then appeared with a hand-scrippled napkin (yes, napkin) of some numbers. Nothing indicating a Seer # or anything on company letterhead. Really?!!! I asked him how long the estimate was good for, or if it was good for a few more months, and he just said "i guess so"....I then asked him if my A/C would last thru the summer since I needed to find the funds for 2 new a/c units...he just said "well, its shooting something or other"....
On his way down the driveway, he turned and said 'oh, we also give you 2 new thermostats"....ok buddy, don't let the gate hit you on the way out...

A one person operation took all day to put up air conditioner on roof, broke many tiles on roof and admitted it and said they would be replaced. Glue was applied by the technician but 3 months later no tile repair. Same thing happened 3 years ago with the adjacent duplex,owned by us,when a/c was replaced there broke many tiles , wouldnt own up to it and settled by giving us half the repair costs, also collapsed cement drive way with their heavy truck and only gave us one third of what it cost to replace it $,000. Best of the companies in Vegas a/c but that is not saying much because the others are so much worse . We had experience with1 hour heating (no show) and now air conditioning (unreliable).

On July 1 I had Gibson Air check my A/C because we were hearing strange noise. They checked everything and and couldn't find any problems. Everything seemed okay until July 11 and it was making so much noise that I shut the unit down and called them noon. They came that night and found that the fan blade was coming apart - motor and Blade needed to be changed. Had to check on parts the next day. On the morning of July 12 they called us at 8:30 am and said they found the parts and could come the next day. We were going somewhere that day, so she said she would try to schedule us in for today. They were there around noon and has it finished that day. They found out that a clack in the fan had started the problem.

We had another company try several times to correct something faulty with our heater. After repeated service calls, the other company was unable to fix the problem. Then we called Gibson Air for service. Gibson Air was quick to give us an appointment. Sheridan, our technician, was on time and professional. He listened patiently to our concerns and then checked over our system. Once he found the problem, he corrected it. We were completely satisfied from start to finish!

The installation started on 7/13/2012 with the delivery of the HVAC system. The installation technicians were prompt, neat and courteous. Because conditions for the installation were unique, it took 2 1/2 days to complete the entire installation. The technicians kept us updated on the steps being performed. All removed parts were taken by the technicians at the conclusion of the installation. After the completion, follow up inspection by Spencer from Gibson Air isolated 3 points that needed correction prior to an inspection by the City of North Las Vegas and clearing of a permit. The areas were cleared by a service technician and the permit inspection was scheduled. Two points were discovered by the inspector. Gibson service technician corrected the points and the permit was cleared.

About July 9th, having not received any contact regarding my systems service contract summer checkup, I call them and was told the notification had been sent out in early June. A couple days later I checked my mail and found a post card reminding me about my summer check up. This post card was posted June 28, 2012. Shortly after my call, my system went out. I think their system checks are good deals, but the notification times are way out of time for the summer season. They are also a little pricey.

I have had absolutely no problems with the ACs everything works great. Gibson is great, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They are not pushy and will work with you to get a system that will meet your needs and your price. Their technicians are the best as far as I am concerned.

Craig, the service manager, did the initial visit and estimate, he obviously is very experienced and knowledgeable. The initial price was a bit high but after a bit of negotiation everything was OK. They referred and coordinated with a plumber to run a water line at reasonable cost. Installation was performed on date agreed upon. They arrived punctually.

Troy did most of the installation and seems to have done a good job and didn't leave a mess. Craig was there several times that day to supervise. The installation took longer than expected. Instead of rushing things, they came back the next day to finish things off properly.

Very happy with the result - much less noise, highly improved temperature distribution, higher humidity and (hopefully) cleaner indoor air.

Had a problem with the humidifier, they came 2 hours after I called, took care of the problem and everthing looks fine.
