Excellent experience. I learned a lot about shopping for appliances--The main lesson is to look around because no one dealer is going to have every brand and every model. Once you've found what you want (not as easy as I'd thought!), most appliance dealers can order major brands for you, so then the question is whether you want to select a dealer based on price or service. In my case, service was paramount, because I live in a condo with the laundry room upstairs. The staircase has double banisters, with a width measuring only 29 inches! (A standard washing machine is 27 in wide.) And, my narrow laundry room is equally challenging, so I needed deliverers who would be extremely gentle and not destroy my staircase or leave a mess. Even before I made the purchase, Econ sent over Jose, the installation manager, to do a walk-through. He was confident that the job could be done, and when he arrived (on time) with two other delivery men, they were incredibly careful. After completing installation, they ran the machine through a full cycle to make sure it worked OK. So far, everything is fine, and I'm very grateful to them for their professionalism. This contrasts with delivery experiences I've had with large retailers who make delivery arrangements on a computer. All the other staff I dealt with were very helpful, including Albert, the salesperson at the Henderson store. And the dispatcher even called two days ahead to confirm the appointment day and time (within a half-hour window). The only thing I didn't like was the location of the Henderson store--There's no signage that's visible from the street, so it's hard to find the store inside the shopping park. And there are two sets of double glass doors, one of which is kept locked, without a sign, so when I went there, I thought the store was closed. The display inside is gorgeous, but there are few washers & dryers there, so you have to look elsewhere to find the model you want. (There's another store near Rainbow & 215, but I never visited there.)

The remodel involved tearing down walls to open up the kitchen and building an island. Since we were opening everything up we didn’t want to put in a range hood. That meant that we needed a range that had a downdraft vent. In order to do the downdraft vent we cut the concrete in the kitchen slab and dug a trench to the outer wall. Location of the trench was critical. Kevin, the installer, made several trips out to measure the location of the vent, the gas line and the electrical lines. All of that was long before we could have had the appliances installed. Without that extra effort from the Econ people I don’t know if we would have had nearly as successful job as it turned out that we did. All of the extra work did not come at extra cost. Econ’s prices are competitive, and they have a wide selection. Our salesman, Albert, was knowledgeable and helpful. When it finally came time for installation, they showed up when they said that they would and did a good job when they got here. I’m very happy with the value that we received when we bought from Econ.

We are extremely happy with the service of this company; they were in and out very quickly at repairing the appliances. They knew what they were doing, very experienced and professional. The price was reasonable also for such an expensive oven. The price for the repair was two hundred dollars.

Econ the Appliance People did a wonderful job on our stove. We had another company come out about four times and they could not fix it as they just kept changing the thermostat, and that wasn't the problem. These guys fixed it right away and we felt they were very skilled. They definitely knew what they were doing. This work was covered under warranty.
