ASPEN CREEK CYCLING

We were immediately warmly greeted by Brian at Aspen Creek Cycling and invited to bring the bike inside for a look. It's a super clean and cute place. It was stocked with fancy bikes for serious people though so at first I was concerned but I had no reason to be. We were treated as valued new customers even though we came in as novices with a used bike. Brian got the bike up on his doing-stuff rack and was able to tell us about the condition of the bicycle and suggest a very minor adjustment to get the gears moving more smoothly (at a super reasonable price!). While he was making the adjustments we selected some new handlebar grips and he did the removal of old and installation of new grips for the back rider. The total cost of the adjustments he did was only one-fifth the cost of what the other local bike outlets had quoted us on the phone just for bringing our cycle in at all. He didn't try to up-sell us on a full-blown tune-up or anything unnecessary- he just helped us get on our way to having fun! We LOVE that he could help us right then instead of DAYS from now like the other shops required. Also, whatever adjustments he did actually immediately fixed the bike to work perfectly PLUS my spiffy new handlebar grips were installed for free! Brian was extra wonderfully patient with us explaining how the gears work and when to shift to what and we really appreciated his advice. We're so pleased we found a REAL bike shop that is as excited to help us get started on our cycling adventures as we are to get started cycling! We're unlikely to become "serious cyclists" requiring the elaborate high-end bikes they carry at that store but we will absolutely return to Aspen Creek Cycling to make future purchases of accessories, safety stuff, things that light up etc because we so value and appreciate great advice and assistance from professionals who care.
