I lost my a/c cooling capacity on 7/8/09 and I first thought I had a freon problem because of the temp of the lines. Advantage A/C came the next day and told me that the compressor valves were bad and quoted me a new compressor and a new A/C unit (my current one began service on 3/30/04. just over 5 years, when my house was new). I told the guy I would need to get a second opinion and called another service provider and found that all I needed was a capacitor and they got the unit going within minutes. Since the first company totally misdiagnosed the problem I asked for my service fee of $49 back. I have never heard back from the company or received a refund. Needless to say, I will never use this company again. Had I not received a second opinion I would have spent thousands instead of a couple of hundred dollars.
