My Furnace stopped working on a Thursday at 2am. I found listing for Renslow here on Angies list and contacted them. They called me first thing in the morning on Friday to come take a look at the furnace. They advised me of what was wrong with it and that they could be back around 3pm with the part and have it fixed in about an hour. My furnace was fixed that day. I would recommend Renslow heating & ac to anyone needing work done and I will use them for anything I need done in the future!

Called Renslow after hours and left a message about my rental's A/C coil freezing up and that I would need service ASAP.
It had occurred several months earlier and I feared a small refrigerant leak.
Renslow contacted me at about 8:10 AM and was immediately available to service the A/C. That was a relief because it was the middle of summer and my renters were worried about having to deal with the extreme July heat without A/C.
The Technician told me that diagnostic of the problem was $65 which was a reasonable price. After he had examined the system he called me back and found that filter at the air intake was improperly installed and that it was low air flow, high filtration type that caused air flow restriction resulting in the frozen coil. He informed me that the system itself was in good working order. He installed a high air flow filter and charged a final price of $97.
Good service with immediate response. I would definitely use Renslow Heating and Air Conditioning again and recommend them to anybody in the Fernley area.

The company called us first thing the morning after I left a message on their machine. We made an appointment for them to come out that afternoon and it was fixed in about an hour.

The tech was very good at finding and fixing the problem. It was the capacitor that had failed and a new one was installed right away.

Mr Renslow and Son arrived on time and immediately started to work.They were courteous, professional and had the installation completed in about 4hrs. Now I'm working comfortably at 72 degrees while it's 104 outside. I will definitely recommend them to others.

Originally I was looking to get a roof mount swamp cooler. Ended up discussing the pros / cons compared to a a/c unit. Furnace is from 1978 and would be cost effective to replace it at the same time as installing an a/c unit. Overall cost then became out of our budget for the meantime - project will have to wait about 6-9 mos. However I feel that he was review worthy because he was so exact and honest and knowledgeable. He broke down the costs of each option, gave me several options to choose from and showed me which ones made the most sense for me and why and how long it would take to recoup my cost on each. He also went as far as to tell me about the local gas companies rebate program for each model.

Came out to clean and inspect our gas fireplace. Was very courtesy and right on time with a call about 15 minutes before he arrived.

Contacting Renslow was easy and he returned my call quickly. Work was done as promised and without delay. They can to the job with all supplies needed to complete the job. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our furnace broke down on a Sunday afternoon during a very cold week in Reno, NV. I called Renslow's Heating and Air Conditioning out of Fernley, NV for help on Monday morning. We had worked with them before several years earlier and were quite happy with the service and expertise offered. That Monday morning, Renslow's was completely booked up with service calls so the owner of the company drove up to Reno (45 minutes away) after hours to look at the furnace. We weren't even charged for the service call! That is unheard of anymore!! After inspecting the furnace, he found the problem and we discussed the issues of repairing the unit or replacing it. The unit was 19 years old and made to most awful racket. After debating the pro's and con's of repairing or replacing my husband and I decided we would like to replace it due to the units age. We felt comfortable with our decision since Mr. Renslow didn't try to talk us into a new unit. He honestly said it could be repaired and still give us heat but we opted for the replacement because like an old car, once things start to go you never know when it will break down again.
We were given three written options on the type/model of furnace we could choose to go with and was even given a best price for value option highlighted in the bid. We researched the options and prices listed and found them to be well within reason. After making our decision, we scheduled the installation for Friday at 9:00 a. m. We used a couple of space heaters we had to keep ourselves somewhat comfortable until the installation day arrived. Mr. Renslow and an apprentice arrived prompty and spent the next 3 - 4 hours installing the new unit. They were professionally attired, neat, clean and ready with a smile. They took care with our carpet near the furnace by placing a tarp down to prevent any accidental damage. After running the new unit for a while, the whole house was warm and welcoming again. No more space heaters!

Furnace was installed by another company about 5 years ago and has not worked properly since it was installed. Everytime the other company made a service call it cost me in excess of $200. Renslow Heating and AC responded within 1/2 hour of my telephone call and did a follow-up the next day. The furnace is now working perfectly. I am extremely satisfied with the work performed, the cost of the service and the professionalism of Mr Renslow.

The technician was prompt, very knowledgeable and timely on the service.

It was great. The tech showed up on time and got right to business.

The entire experience went much better than I could have ever imagined. The installer was in and out in 5 hours. I barely knew he was here.
