Fallon Veterinary Clinic

I moved to Fallon NV in late Dec. from the Los Angeles area. This is the first time I have lived in a rural community and finding a perfect vet for my chihuahuas was my main concern. They are all rescues and my 4 legged children. Fallon Veterinary Clinic was a 2nd opinion for me. The cleanliness of the office and exam rooms, the courteous staff, the professionalism of the vets as well as taking time to address my concerns, won me over.

Went very well. Took just the day and I know how gentle they are there, which is good since my cat is a scardy cat and hides under the towels and paper thats lined in the cage.

I have been to this vet multiple times and the story is pretty much the same each time. I'm finally fed up and not going to go back. They perform the services well, they staff is polite, they seem knowledgeable, etc. The problem is everytime I go there they insist that the animal needs additional medications: antiinflamitorys for a dog that has learned he gets attention when he limps (never ever, ever limps when he doesn't know you are looking and neither the anti-inflamitory nor pain pills helped), antibiotics for a half healed scratch, eye drops for a dog that has cronic red eyes (that don't seem to bother her), etc. Everytime I have been here they load me up with an additional $40+ of medication. When I express doubts there attitude goes into a "If your not fitting your pit bulls then prove it by giving them these medications." They don't exactly say that, but they will say things like "This will help his/her comfort and a responsible owner puts their pets comfort first" or "Nothing heals on it's own" or "Well if you can't afford this, maybe you shouldn't have a pet." Now, money IS tight, but I am there at the vet, which means I HAVE made it a priority. And I WILL figure out how to afford anything medically nessecary, but I don't feel I can believe this company.
