"We apologize for our part in any misunderstanding. And why we try to stay on schedule, the enormity of certain events like the recent wind storms earlier this year, tend to wreak havoc with the best plans. The work we proposed to do originally (January 18, 2015) was just brace the existing broken posts, not replacing any fence. At the time of the estimate, the fence was still up, just leaning. Our back log for getting to new jobs, as was explained to customers, was about 3-4 weeks out at this time. After receiving the estimate, the customer said we had changed the posts in previous work we completed for them, in addition to adding braces. A revised estimate was sent for this additional work (January 20, 2015) as well. Again, the work was to use the existing fence that was up, only replacing posts and adding braces. The customer signed the revised contract on January 20, 2015. The customer called our office to check on the status of their job, February 4, 2015. The customer had concerns about forecasted storms and possibly additional damage. On February 16, the customer called and said their sections of fence to be worked on were down due to the winds, but the work required to repair said fence should be about the same. At this time, the customer was informed we would be working on their fence either the next week or the week after. And they would be called prior to the crew being scheduled to do the work.
