+ -1 morei was not satisfied with the way Best Buy treated my complaint. They did not offer any compensation for overcharging me to restock my returned item. I would not have complained if the restocking fee had been nominal...but i believe it is bad business practice, this is misleading the customer. We are told to go spend money to help the economy... i will never spend my money at Best Buy again. I'd rather go to CostCo.
Description of Work: I purchased a camcorder as a gift for my son's Bday. When he opened his gift it is a duplicate of another gift. When I returned the brand new camcorder, unused.. i was charged a restocking fee of $135. When I complained of the amount of this fee, just to put more tape on the box, I was told it was company policy. Furthermore I was told that the return policy was on the receipt. It is on the back of the reciept, but i didn't see it until AFTER I made the original purchase. I was told I could file a complaint with corporate. I did call the 888 number and of course talked to a person who has no authority to give me my $135... I was told that they would "document" my complaint. I want my $135.
