Every part of the job had to be done twice. A worker came through the ceiling of my laundry room with his foot; a wall was erected in the wrong place; the final wall is constructed crooked; the finish on our new English bronze faucet was damaged with a wrench; we discovered that we had an unlicensed electrician on the job; one worker had a woman to the house while I was out to lunch. The general contractor did not oversee the job and didn't know anything about construction. They had a messy job site, occupying two of our three garage stalls with trash for 14 weeks. The only thing completed on time was the bill. We finally negotiated a final price, declared the job done, and my husband will complete the details himself! We just don't want them in our house ever again.
