Handy Mike

Mike came and I showed him around the yard and what I needed done.  He gave me the pricing and I asked him to come back to do some maintenance jobs regularly.  I paid him in cash.  He came and did the clean up job.  There were a few issues because he wasn't doing everything on the list that we had agreed upon.  I reminded him several times that he needed to do these jobs and he would agree to it, but it seemed to take several reminders before he did the work.  I asked him to fix a sprinkler head that wasn't working and he dug a big hole in my yard, but wasn't able to fix the sprinkler head.  He came back to do the maintenace work and when I paid him for the work he got very mean and said I was cheating him out of money!  He was very nice to begin with and all of a sudden he did a flip-flop and was very mean.  I let it go and didn't report it to Angie's List because I was a little afraid of the guy.  I haven't made any complaints about the messes he left, even though I was paying him the amounts that he had asked.  There is definitely something amiss with Mike.  I told him not to come back, and he told me that he didn't want to come back.

He does all the operation by himself with his son and a co-worker. It’s a family owned business. Depending on the job he charges somewhere $20-$50 an hour. His price is fair. He is thorough and you get what you pay for. His quality of work is excellent. He always calls you back within 24hours. He is just thoroughly all-round good guy. I have recommended him to others and all have enjoyed working with him.
