Did a very good job.

Crew installed the expansion system in one day which included 12 solar panels with micro-inverters, racking and wiring.  This went a day faster faster than the original  installation which required longer rooftop conduits and installation of a 2nd meter and an electrical  disconnect at a distance of about 60 feet from my  system ( my installation is at a condo complex). In both cases the electricians did an excellent job and the system has been operating as specified. My original system was installed in May  2012.

 The crew also installed a 240 outlet for EV charging in my garage. This was the reason I expanded my system.

 Needless to say I wouldn't have contacted Solar Smart Living for an expansion of my system had the original installation  not gone well.

 Both times SSL handled the permitting process without any problems.

 I consider the price to be competitive.

 My installation is on a low-slope roof & I was impressed with the ability of the installers to attach the racking to the rafters without drilling  many exploratory holes. My roof has not developed any leaks form the installation.

 I would confidently recommend SSL to anyone considering a residential solar PV installation.

 

Not only did they install the panels, but since our home was older they also had to install a main breaker box on the outside of the house. They went the extra mile to insure the panels were secured properly which required them to work in the attic. The roof is metal with ridges which required a little extra planning for the layout. They spent time making sure the final layout of the panels would have a pleasant appearance. On our initial contact  (May 2012) with SSL they provided an estimate that we were comfortable with (we checked with two other companies, as well) and gave them the go ahead. But after a few months realizing the effect of the panels we had them add more panels. Two years later we added more panels because we increased the size of the house. During all the times they were at the house and doing the work we were very pleased with the technical knowledge, efficiency, promptness and cleanup after the job. They also contacted us periodically to see how everything is working including the reporting system. Although we have met our limit, we would definitely recommended them.

I made inquiry to have a solar system installed. An appointment was scheduled. Their rep came and explained process and benefits, checked roof taking measurements and looking for any potential problems. I was given a written estimate including details of work that would be done. I was considering another company but chose Solar Smart Living because of their thoroughness. I was kept informed throughout the process. Required inspections have been the only things which have added to time of completion. All employees I have dealt with have been very professional, knowledgable, friendly and patient in answering my questions.
