"The price was quoted and charged from a flat rate manual. There were two tech's working on it so she didn't have to wait too long. I guess the customer would have been happier to sit and wait. The price would have been the same..."

"I didn't want to argue with the customer. I reimbursed what we charged him. I don't think the the fact that he got charged more from another shop to do less of a repair is my responsibility. He should have shopped around. He was not pleasant to do business with anyway. Sounded almost like a scam as he seemed more interested in getting money (and more than he was charged) than getting to the bottom of the problem."

The engine fault light came on in a 93 Buick. These early vehicles are not as easy to troubleshoot engine fault lights as the newer cars. The mechanic at RPM determined that the Throttle Position Sensor was at fault, cleaned it and the problem was solved.
