Had a clear and very helpful discussion about our options. Job was done quickly with little disruption. Helped us move the larger furniture items. Cost was totally reasonable. Finish is beautiful. Very pleased.

This is one of those jobs, like getting new windows, that is an ordeal to go through, but well worth the inconvenience once you see the results.  Everything had to be moved off the wood floors to allow the work to proceed.  Adrian worked methodically and carefully and took pains to explain everything he was doing and why.  First he sanded and scraped all the floors several times, each time using successively finer grades of sanding belts.  Then the floors were sealed (twice), buffed and a protective coating was applied.  As well, Adrian carefully removed a badly stained (thank you, cats!) section of floor and replaced it with new oak.  It is now impossible to tell where the stain used to be.
All told the job took five days .  The results were spectacular!  I have never seen these 50-year old floors look this good.  I am reluctant to cover even a bit of them with furniture and rugs.  Job well done!

First off, Adrian, owner of the company, gave me a full explanation of
the range of options for refinishing oak floors in my newly purchased
old home. Work was begun when he said it would be, lasted as long as he
said it would, and was perfectly executed. The floors look better than
they probably did when they were new! His workers are prompt, work hard,
clean up completely, and know what they're doing. The company's love
for and understanding of wood and wood products is obvious. I would use
them again in a heartbeat, and absolutely recommend them to anyone
looking to have excellent work done at a reasonable price by good
craftsmen.
