The staff were very friendly friendly and professional. Too short of a time for a very high price.

Don't go during the holidays! I made that mistake one Christmas. You have wait for a shower and the place feels busy. If you're a NM resident, you can get 20% off Monday through Thursday. That's a good deal!

Overall, my experiences at 10,000 Waves have been positive. Amy, one of their facialists, is fabulous and incredibly helplful. She listens carefully to the patient's needs and adapts treatments accordingly. All the practitioners that I have interacted with have been polite and helpful. Be aware that it is a spa, so the massages are more and quot;feel goodand quot; than therapeutic. If you can afford it, ask for a master massage therapist.
Most of my encounters with the staff at 10,000 Waves have been very positive and I would go there again.
On the flipside. I have extremely sensitive skin and the facialists that I have interacted with, besides Amy, have not adapted their approach to accommodate this sensitivity. Consequently, I did have a very bad experience that required me to go to a dermatologist to address.
Also, I had a run-in with one of the schedulers over a cancellation of my appointment because Amy was ill and unable to make it. When I called back another time to make an appointment, this scheduler answered my call. Evidently, he thought he put me on hold but in fact he didn't as he turned to one of his coworkers and told him in detail how rude I was. As you can imagine, that didn't sit well with me.

When I lived in Santa Fe, I went there every month. I highly recommend them if you're in the area. Just relax. Me and my girlfriends used to go there. I will go there again if I'm in the area. I originally picked them because a girlfriend recommended them. It is very, very relaxing. We had clients from Japan and said it is a very authentic Japanese based spa. Their massage therapists and help are very professional. It's a good place to go. You have to plan ahead or you may not get an appointment, don't just drop in. If you plan ahead, you can get pretty much what you want. I will make use of their services again if I'm in Santa Fe.

It is wonderful, I would highly recommend it, the environment is soothing, the therapists are professional, comfortable, competent, and well trained. The ambiance is great and you have actual space that is so beautiful. I give them high ratings and will continue to go there in the future.

The room was excellent, the massages were fantastic (Nuala and Kala), and the private pool was romantic and relaxing. It's a little expensive, but it was a nice splurge. They also allowed our dogs to stay with us, and they were allowed in the private bath.

We have been visiting Ten Thousand waves since 1992 and visited at least yearly. The last 2 visits were terrible in terms of service by the support and booking staff. The masseuse and facialists were great. However they booked the wrong hot tub (indoor instead of outdoor) twice on the same visit. They didn't have us booked for services we ordered, they canceled services on us without our knowledge. One example - I ordered a hot stone massage 4 months in advance. They canceled it and said in the 3 days we were there it could not be booked - they were full. Our friend called 8 hours later and booked a hot stone massage! Horrible service. They called us as we were leaving as we wanted a manager to talk to and told us we were never allowed in their facility again! However, they continue to send me advertising pieces to get me to book services. I would never again recommend this spa (I used to rave about it).
