I met with the principal in his office in Santa Fe and decided to work with him. The principal of The Surroundings and a second designer visited the property twice, we exchanged numerous e-mail messages, held a "Go to Meeting" for a draft presentation of the plan and discussion, and then a third visit for presentation of the final plan. The presentation provides a phased in plan, taking into account existing structures, water flow and sun availability. They listened to my ideas, incorporated most of them, provided great insight into what is already possible on the property and are a delight to work with. I plan to use them to oversee the major phases of the work since I do not live on the property full time.
