Received a referral from Brake Masters, after an oil change, for a free diagnosis from Precision Transmission to determine the cause of a leak, which they believed was one of the transmission seals. The referral card waived the normal $75 diagnostic fee .  Precision found that we had two seal leaks, which were actually engine oil and not trans fluid and  would be very costly to repair.  But, they also told us without hesitation that  the leaks were relatively minor and the repairs could be deferred for a significant period of time.  This allows us time to consider our options and to ultimately decide what we will do.
We appreciate their honest judgment and lack of pressure to have the repairs done immediately! If we decide to have the repairs done, it will be by them.

I took my ailing Honda Element into the dealership to see what was wrong and what the price would be. They told me the transmission needed to be replaced for $3600+. Since the car only had 75,000 miles on it, and was just out of warranty, I decided to get a 2nd opinion from Precision Transmission. They agreed that the transmission was shot, but could do a rebuild for between $2000 and $3000, depending. They also agreed that it was unusual for one to do this so soon on a Honda. And they allowed me to keep the vehicle in their rather small yard for a week as I sorted things out with Honda USA.
I would have had the work done at Precision, except that Honda USA agreed to replace for a minimal charge. Precision was gracious, very honest and not at all put out by not getting the job - instead they congratulated me in my persistence with Honda!
This is a long time, local and family owned business.

I had a really good experience. My primary mechanic told me that it would cost me $2500 for fixing the transmission, so I was expecting that. These guys gave me an estimate of $1700-$1800 but when I got the work done, it was roughly only $1200, so I was very happy with that. They were very straight forward, they had good reviews and two brothers own it and run it. They were very professional and did a good job by giving me a nationwide warranty. I was extremely impressed with them and after reading their reviews, they were the best I could find in the area.
